Coherent Verdi-G Taipan Laser Head 5W 532nm OPSL Genesis OEM FAP Diode
For sale is a Coherent Verdi-G OPSL laser head. This head appears to be a 5W 532nm system by the label on the bottom of the head. The head is mostly complete. The optics cavity appears to only be missing a single output mirror, however the actual resonator is complete. The laser powers on and produces a ton of green. I have powered it up to ~25A for a brief time, however green emission is at ~12A indicating the laser is in good health. Under the cavity are 4 Marlow TEC devices. The head electrical connection is made through a PCB that includes ESD diodes to prevent damage to the laser diode. There appears to be an interconnect board missing. The board would include the temperature controllers for the heaters inside. I am selling this AS-IS. It is not a complete Verdi-G head, but it does lase. I will ship anywhere in the world. ILX Lightwave LDC-3742 Laser Diode Controller For sale- an ILX Lightwave LDC-3742 Laser Diode Controller. The controller is in excellent physical condition. It powers up as you can see, and it appears to be completely responsive to the controls. Couple of things to note. First. The SENSOR OPEN LED under the TEC display flashes off and on. As no sensor is attached I don’t find that to be unexpected. And the OUTPUT SHORTED LED under the Laser display stays on as you can see in the picture. Hopefully that is simply because no laser is attached. But I leave it up to you to decide if that is an issue or not. I didn’t notice until after I was looking at the pictures. But a shorting plug had been fashioned from a paper clip and was stuck in the DB-9 connection on the back of the unit. I thought that might be why the Output Shorted LED was on. So ... moreI pulled it and powered the unit up again. At that point the INTERLOCK LED came on. So clearly that was unrelated. That is the extent of my testing. The surplus condition code would theoretically indicate it should be functional. But no warranty is offered. However. I purchased them about 4 years ago then shortly ended up with a YSGG laser so they have very light wear. I don't know which diode they are compatible with-you will have to double check the frequency to see if it matches your diode. They are for the style frame shown in the photo of the manual and I do not know if they are compatible with others. They have some light scratches near the rim that do not impact vision.
