For your consideration today is a Crown Optical 8mm movie camera. Model Crown8-T3. This camera has three lenses: telephoto, wide angle, and f:1.8 13mm. There is another lens in the case that has no label, but it has an ASA Index on it. I'm sure that those of you that collect these will know exactly what this is. It has a lens cap and appears to be in good condition. There are speed settings on it: 12. 16, 24, 32. There is an exposure guide on the back. The viewing lens appears to be clear, as I mentioned above in the condition report, the red viewing guidelines are a bit worn and there are dirt specks, but there are no scratches that I can see. So will simply do our best to describe the film and let the pics speak for themselves. This Original 8mm Amateur Movie showcases highlights of the 1961 Duryea Hillclimb Race in Reading. PA. On a light side, the film starts off with some race footage shot at Bristol Kart-Way. Then witnessing a once-in-a-lifetime event, whoever was filming was in the right place at the right time, as Car#45 was captured in what appears to be a serious crash that ends up with the driver being rushed off in an ambulance. We don't own a projector to actually view the film. So are unable to vouch for its condition or quality. That said, we did come across a splice that was joined with what looks to be regular tape(see pic) ... moreand should probably be properly spliced; other than that, the film bears no vinegary odor, and appears to have been well-cared for.
