Offered for bid is a boat shaped display case. That I have refinished and repurposed into a shelf or wall clock. Where the clock is, used to be a compass rose, which only had a couple of the original points remaining when I found this item. I removed what was left of the compass rose and replaced it with a clock. The clock stands 12 3/4"H X 6 1/4"W X 3 3/8"D. The display shelf is 5"W X 2 1/2"H X 2/34"D. The ID of the drawer is 4 1/2W X 2 1/2" D X 1 5/8"H. The pictures didn't come out all that well, but the colors are a mediun dark stain, and a green bottom. England Prince's Plate From our personal collection comes this Gorgeous Antique English Silver Plate BOAT SHAPED TEA CADDY made by Mappin& Webb which worked out of both London and Sheffield. England from the 1890's until at least the 1990's. This fabulous shape is echoed in the boat shaped finial which opens the hinged lid of this 5 1/2” tall piece which measures 7 5/8” wide and 4 7/8” deep. The width and depth measurements are of the integral 3/4” wide stand. As shown it sits on four ball feet and has a very clean interior. It is in excellent used condition with a few very light usage marks with no dents or other defects and no loss to the plating. Any color or dark spots you see are either reflections or tarnish that I didn't ... moreget. I believe the mark on the bottom was one the company used from the late 1800's to early 1900's. I have been selling antiques for over 30 years and have never seen a piece quite like this but we are redecorating the living room and want to put fewer pieces back in after the walls and floors are done. You are bidding on a Very Unique Solid.925 Silver Sauce Boat& ladle in the shape of a Parrot. There are no markings on it except for the.925 stamped on both the boat& the ladle. It weighs 51.3 ounces or 1452 grams! The dimensions are approximately 13.5" long(with ladle) 3.5" wide and 5.75" high I've been told the the eyes are made of Amber. But I really don't know. The ladle bowl is also a smaller parrot and when placed in the sauce boat, the handle of the ladle becomes the center feathers of the parrot's tail. I have never seen anything like this on Ebay. BOAT-SHAPED(or elongated BOWL) STONE? AVALON HARBOR. CATALINA ISLAND. CALIFORNIA, 1930s Length: 3 1/4" Width: 1" Height: 1 1/4" Weight: 3.9 oz Back in the 1930s a swimmer found this curious artifact while bathing in the waters off Avalon. Santa Catalina Island. It appears to be a boat or an elongated bowl of some type. Made from a dark stone. It shows clear evidence of interior extraction marks. It is somewhat rounded along both sides. One corner edge has a cut or nick going half-way down the piece. Acquired in a batch of stone tools from off-island descendants living near Venice Beach. Difficult to say exactly what the function of this piece was. Some have suggested it was a stylized effigy of a canoe perhaps carved by the Native Americans who lived/worked the island with their soapstone trade of bowls and mortars. While it ... moredoes have indications of such. I can not state with 100% confidence that it indeed is a so-called"boatstone. But it was in a basement wooden"apple basket" along with 7 other pestles. Mortars and such. This piece falls under the category of a"surface" find. Albeit found underwater in beach splash-zone beach sand over 80 years ago.

OLD ANTIQUE MIDDLE EASTERN OR ASIAN BOAT SHAPED INCENSE TRAY OR BOWL
Being offered is an interesting brass boat shaped object that I'm unsure as to its exact origin or purpose. The decoration seems to be Middle Eastern or Asian. The boat is brass with decorative motif on each side. The body of the boat is very solid but the upturned sections at each end are more fragile and have been torn in their life. The boat sits on a fairly fragile and unsteady thin brass stand. The thin stand has been added apparently at a later point in its life. The inside of the boat has a blackish patina to it. Here is a pair of very pretty light blue boat-shaped dishes with ribs on the sides that could be used for a variety of things from holding trinkets. Mints, loose change, or even as ashtrays. I do not know what their original purpose was since I got them at an estate auction. They are unmarked so maker is unknown to me. Size: Large one is 7 3/4" by 4 3/8" by 7/8" tall and the small one is 5 1/8" by 3" by 3/4" tall. Condition: Very nice with no chips. Cracks or scratches that I could find. I did notice a tiny rough spot on the edge of the large one but it is only noticeable by feel, not by sight. Please ask any questions before bidding. This auction is for a Beautiful Antique Small Imari Bowl in an Unusual Boat Shape with a Scalloped Edge and Hand Painted with a Floral and Leaf design with a Dragon at the Center and Butterflies. It would make a Perfect Holiday Gift for any Imari Collector. The bowl is decorated in a Blue Floral Pattern as well as a Greek-Key type design on the bottom. It is signed with 6 Japanese Characters. I believe this piece dates to the Meiji period- the late 1800s or early 1900s. The bowl is in very good condition. Especially for its age. There are no chips or cracks or damage. My Mother was married in 1940 and this was one of her wedding gifts. It glows a florescent lime green under a black light. It measures approx 2 1/2 inches tall and approx 5 1/2 inches wide and approx 11 inches long. It is in excellent vintage condition without any chips or cracks.
