This is a sizable vintage carved ox bone Scrimshaw Eskimo Inuit Alaska Good Luck Billiken Figurine. There is great detail in the carving on his hands as each finger is visible. CONDITION: It is in excellent condition- I see no chips. Cracks, stains, or missing pieces. It is nicely carved. And has the sticker"Made by Eskimos" from Alaska. It stands about 3.75 inches tall. Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England(in operation from 1882 to date) This pattern is called"Strawberry Fair" They was made between 1959 and 1973. These plates are done with a classic pink(red) engraved transfer on a swirled scalloped blank. This lot is in excellent used condition with no damage and no noticeable handling wear.
