What a tiny treasure! The violin itself has inlaid mother of pearl around the edges. The back is inlaid beautifully with a flower& bird pattern. The bow has the original string& is in excellent condition. However. The violin needs some TLC to reglue the bridge back in place& tie the strings back. Someone with extreme patience& knowledge of the violin should do this. I have made no attempt to do this& is sold as is. The wooden box has a groove in it to put your nail& slide the case open. The inside is lined with red tissue paper. On the inside of the box lid is some pencil writing of numbers. Not sure what country of origin this came from. Goodwin Granger 8642 ( 8 1/2') Special fly rod. 3/2 for 5/6 wt. line
This rod is structurally in great shape and ready to fish. Cane is straight. Varnish is smooth and unchipped, ferrules'pop' just the way they are supposed to, reel seat works smoothly. Problems are the 3/4' short tip, ridging on grip and discoloration of some wraps. If you're looking for the Granger experience without spending a fortune, this rod is a deal. It is also a candidate for refinishing. A light sanding and coat of varnish would probably have it looking like new. Or you might want to re-wrap the guides and ferrules to make it look even better. Either way this is a rod that deserves more steam time than I can give it. Tube is a new, good quality aluminum tube. The bag is correct, but I doubt if it's original.it's in too good shape to be that old.

1939-1941 HEDDON #202 "Lyon & Coulson Imperial" 8-1/2', 3/2 Split Bamboo Fly Rod
It's my pleasure to offer at auction a nice 1939-1941 HEDDON NO.202"LYON& COULSON- IMPERIAL" 8-1/2 FT. 3/2 SPLIT BAMBOO FLY ROD WITH ORIGINAL LABELED BAG& CORRECTLY LABELED ALUMINUM TUBE. Built as a"trade" rod by James Heddon's Sons for Lyon& Coulson of Buffalo, N.Y. and supplied to them from the mid 1930's until WWII. In terms of quality and cosmetics, the No.202"Imperial" would be the rough equivalent to the No.17"Black Beauty" from Heddon's regular rod line. Because this example is equipped with Heddon's down-locking seat(first used by Heddon on virtually every model starting in 1939) we can safely date this rod from 1939 to 1941. I've added a photo of the original listing from Lyon& Coulson's 1940 catalog. This particular model was built in what was called"Trout" ... moreaction, with a line recommendation equivalent to today's modern 6 wt. lines. Heddon's Cleo Hanley has handwritten"L& C IMPERIAL" on one flat and"202" on an adjacent flat, just above the hook keeper. The reel seat's locking ring is stamped"PAT. NO.1624052" the 1927 patent assigned to Heddon for the screw-locking reel seat. Comes equipped with extra tip section, all blackened hardware, agatine stripping guide, hardened Tungsten steel snake guides& tip tops, blackened nickel silver serrated ferrules, hook keeper, wound-over winding check, screw-locking"Hold-Tite" tenite reel seat, solid cork grip and wound in black silk tipped in orange. Rod is in about Fine condition for these, showing moderate overall wear. Bamboo is perfect, with no splits, cracks or delamination whatsoever. One tip section has had the tip top reset, resulting in a loss of 3/4" All three other sections are the correct equal length. Beautiful Bamboo South Bend Fly Rod. 3-piece rod. Says 55-8 1/2. I would describe this is in very good shape. All guides are there and the wraps are very tight. Clean finish. Cork grip is very cleen. Reel seat is nice and clean. Butt section measures 34.25" Middle and tip sections measure 34.75" Ferrules are very clean and the finish is great given it's ago. This can be fished tomorrow or would make a nice display piece. The rod includes the rod sock. But it is not a South Bend rod sock. Comes with the original packaging, ive upgraded the hdd to a crucial v4 256 ssd and the memory to crucial 8gb 1333. i will include the original memory and the hdd which has the os and the drivers on a partition, also i will include the original packaging for the ssd and mem with the invoice from overclockers. i don't have the receipt for the laptop anymore. only damage i need to point out is on the kettle cable that connect to the dc charger and to the edge of the lid which all can be seen in pictures, the bare wire is not exposed just the inside casing but these leads can easily be replaced. laptop works like new and still holds hours of charge, it has been well looked after. will also throw in a grey laptop bag, this laptop was bought early last year. ... moredue to the hdd having the os backup instead of having a driver cd you will have to download the original drivers from the hp website. when i ship this out i will do a fresh install of windows 7 pro and drivers.
