They have SM stamped on the back. These came with a gorgeous set of handles that I used elsewhere in my home. But I did not need the key escutcheons. I have a very nice cast iron deadbolt rim lock for your consideration. This lock looks gently used if at all. Very nice reusable condition with matching heavy duty catch. Box is heavy duty as well measuring 1 1/8 inches thick. This is a rarer rim lock which has only an oversized deadbolt slide. No latching mechanisms. It has an early brass flat key tumbler that looks almost new. I opened the box and everything looks intact but did not want to try and move deadbolt for fear of flat springs popping out and not knowing how to replace in proper position. Penn Antique. 24" Antique Cast Bronze Victorian Door Flushbolt. What a rare find! Available for purchase is a stunningly beautiful. 2 foot long flush bolt. The plate, knob, and bolt are solid, heavy, thick, cast bronze, and the rod joining the knob and bolt is made of iron. If you are not familiar with this type of hardware. I t's the locking mechanism installed on one of the doors in a pair of double doors. For the purpose of keeping one door stationary, while allowing the other to swing freely. A flushbolt this long is typically found on doors measuring between 7 1/2' 9' tall. If you are wondering why the price is so high. It is because it is very, very difficult to find one this long, this ornate, this old, and in excellent, functional condition. We have been working with antique doors for over a decade and have bought/sold, ... moredelivered for other dealers, and seen at least 10,000 antique doors, and we have only seen about 5 bolts like the one being offered in this auction. I don't know who made it or exactly when it was made. But my guess would be either"P.F. Corbin Mfg. Co. or"Russell& Erwin Mfg. Co. both based in New Britain, CT, during the 1880's. At the point of salvage. The plate was covered in red paint from top to bottom(see last photo) and the bolt was hard to push out. Since then, we spent a few hours removing the paint, and cleaning the bolt. Now, the plate looks almost as good as it did when it was first made, and the bolt slides back and forth with ease. I have an antique cast iron deadbolt lock slide for your consideration. This is original Victorian Eastlake period door hardware. Spring feels strong for reuse. All the original Jappaned finish is worn away. Will clean up nicely for a new finish or nice as is. This was a typical toe kick release for the bottom of a door and floor. The slide engages with foot simply by pushing to engage knob. To disengage simply tap the button with your toe. The top side of the door might have had a matching slide with a chain pull to secure the topside of the door. Lock comes with a flush mount strike that is not original to the piece although could work depending on your application. I have a beautifully patterned Victorian Eastlake period door slide bolt lock for your consideration. Measures 5 3/8 x 2 1/8 inches and comes with original surface mount catch. Spring feels good for reuse. Backplate removes for easy repair or maintenance. This would have been typically used for the topside of a door where you would pull on chain for disengagement. Chain is not original although is period correct where it came off another similar damaged slide bolt its same age. Latch box has old finish and some grime that should clean off nicely.
