Lift-All, Altec Bucket Truck, Crane Hydraulic Cylinder
This auction is for a large hydraulic cylinder. I removed this cylinder from a Liftall boom on a bucket truck that a local electric company sold as surplus. The boom was new in 2000 so the cylinder is at least that new. Altec bought out Lift-all and I have noticed that a lot of their parts interchange. The cylinder in this auction measures as follows: Retracted total length: 5 feet. 11 inches Retracted length- eye to eye: 62 inches Extended total length: 117.5 inches Extended length- eye to eye: 108.5 inches Eye hole diameter: 2 inches Extension: 46.5 inches Rod Ram diameter: 3 inches Barrel diameter: 8 inches Weight: 450 pounds This is a double acting cylinder- power in and power out. The ports for the hydraulic lines are both on the barrel end of the cylinder away from the cylinder rod for easy mounting. The cylinder is in very good condition. ... moreI used the bucket and tested the cylinders before I removed them and it had no leaks. This cylinder was designed for use on a bucket truck to lift personnel into the air. So they are really well built and designed for safety. This is not some cheap agriculture cylinder! I still have the pins that were used to hold the cylinder in place when it was used on the bucket truck. They are two inches in diameter and about a foot long with special locking rings on each end. If the buyer of this cylinder wants to buy some of them to use on this cylinder. I will sell them for $25.00 each. It has minor scuffs and scratches from being moved around but nothing that in any way affects it. This is a nice used cylinder. This cylinder costs several thousand dollars to buy new. If you need a different size cylinder. Check out my other auctions, I will be listing others. I can ship this out on a pallet. But it will be hanging over and I would not recommend this. I have sold a lot of cylinders in the past and the best way to ship them is to build a crate around them. I will not disable the truck to sell a twenty dollar part. I will only part it out if you are interested in the crane/auger, the utility body or the aerial platform. This crane is a complete system which is separate from the aerial tower portion of the truck and is a separate unit from the utility body. It has it's own separate PTO. Pump and hydraulic system. You are bidding on the portion which is bolted to the rear of the truck behind the utility body and will also get the pump and all hydraulics. This could easily be added to a truck, by extending the frame of your truck out the back and bolting it on. You would also need a PTO or some way to ... moredrive the hydraulic pump. Due to twhich extends the arm out. Also. The crane has large diameter ROPE, not steel cable. Look at the photo, showing my thumb as a comparison. It's very heavy duty rope and when i get a chance, i will take a video showing it lifting an engine or something heavy- i ju he size and weight. It is local pickup only& is located in Sheffield Village Ohio 44054. I will not remove from the truck until a $500 non refundable deposit is made. The crane/auger are still mounted on the truck and i will need a week or so to get it removed and ready to be picked up. The crane and auger work the way they are intended, but there is a small hydraulic leak coming from inside the crane arm- i'm not sure if it's a hydraulic cylinder leaking or if it's a hose.
