This is a vintage earring organizer is from my mother's estate and made of wood and plastic. The stand is wood with a brass top and felt bottom there are 4 plastic wings that affix to the stand to hold the earring, 10 pair per wing. This was made at the time when earrings were much smaller, more like button earring than the large hoops of today. It is 8" high and 4-1/2" in diameter. The wings measure 1-5/16" at the widest and 4-7/8" high. There are no markings as to maker or age. It is in good condition, but is in need of a good cleaning. This is a fantastic old jewelry organizer box with compartments to store all different types of jewelry. There are two doors on the front that have decorative wooden cut out frames and glass panels. The doors each have a dangling metal pull with floral designs stamped into them and magnetic latch that holds the door closed. Inside the doors is a mirror. Two necklace racks on metal tracks that can be pushed in, pulled out, or turned, and a six compartment organizer tray that pulls out and a clear plastic lid to keep your jewelry nestled in place. On each side of the jewelry box is a door that opens to reveal another compartment for storage. One is filled with padded velvet rolls to nestle your rings between and the other has thick cardboard ridges with holes to hang your earrings from.
