This copy calls for 16 pages, however only leaves present are 1-8, as it lacks title page and pages 9-16, and remains heavily worn, as shown. Vintage 1800's 16" Scissors Shears Dressmaking Tailor No Rsv Antique Industrial?
This auction is for a really great pair of antique scissors. They measure about 16 inches in length! They have what appears to be a brass hinge. We've seen others that were virtually identical listed as being faintly marked from 1845& made in New York. We can't find a stamp mark on ours. But believe that it could be there but due to age we can't see it. We were tempted to try to polish them up to see if we could find anything, but don't want to ruin the lovely patina these have. It is a hand forged wrought iron fireplace hearth crane and set of andirons. We think at least from the middle of the 1800's. We know some of the history of these items. They came from the homeplace when the fireplace was refurbished and an fireplace insert was put in place. The hearth crane was removed and these andirons were no longer needed. We think it was made by the original owner of the land and builder of the main part of the house. The fireplace was part of the original cabin. The house has been built onto over the years and remodeled by multiple owners. We think the original cabin was built by a man name Leonard Dangerfield born in 1804 and he was a gunsmith. ... moreHis son Thomas. Who died in the Civil War was also a gunsmith. Between the two of them we think they possibly made this set. We thought about not selling these but we are in the position that if we don't need it and don't have a use for it.why keep it? My mother said, no" Too big for a small porch. So for someone this is a really good set of a hand forged wrought iron Antique fireplace crane and andirons with a history. Antique Japanese Samurai Quiver With 2 Arrows Signed Late 1800's
This is an antique Japanese Samurai quiver with two arrows. The quiver is a finely woven basket with designs incorporated into the weaving. The bottom end of the quiver is wood. Some to the attachment straps have got missing. the body of the quiver is sound. The arrows are bamboo. They have hand wrought metal tips in the shape of bullets. In between the feathers, there is Japanese writing, could be owners name or something else. The quiver is 35 1/4" long and 2 1/2" at the widest, the arrows are 31 1/2" long. Condition, as stated, a couple of the carrying straps have gone missing, basket is sound. The arrows have a few shrinkage cracks in the bamboo. The feathers are still there, but with issues. Antique Federal Chest of Drawers c. 1800's Hepplewhite Mahogany w/ Inlay Dresser
Gorgeous antique Federal chest of drawers. Four graduated. Full length drawers. Wood looks like mahogany with remarkable contrasting diamond pattern inlay work bordering the edges of the drawer faces and down the sides of the front of the piece. Dovetail joints in all of the drawers as well as oval mount, bail handle drawer pulls. The drawer pulls are not original to the piece. Inlaid, shield shaped wooden key surrounds. Turned feet show influence from earlier styles. Panelled sides and an overhanging, unmolded top complete the dresser. Piece dates from the early 1800's. This wonderful piece combines elements of both Hepplewhite and Sheraton design. Overall. The chest is in very good condition. There is some damage to the finish on the top of the dresser as well as some breakage to the inlay on both sides of the bottom stripe. Tapesry Bag (circa 1800 French)
Tattered circa 1800 French woven tapestry bag with CASTLE motif of bulky silk with a traditional silk lining. Please take a close look at the photos to see that this piece needs intense TLC. the handles are scratched wood and one has a wire on it. the lining has spots and the front has some too. But all in all it may be able to be saved if you are careful and have the expertise to tackle a job of this nature. The size is 14" X 14" It really was beautiful in it's day and it's so sad it is in such disrepair. I hope there is someone out there who can adopt this project.

The bottle still retains some sea-debris but due to the muddy bottom was mostly free of sea-debris. A 1/3 rd part of the city- Port Royal sank beneath the harbor’s waves when struck on June 7 th. 1692 by an earthquake accompanied by three tidal waves. From 1964 to 1968 internationally renowned Underwater Archaeologist Sir Robert F. Marx(knighted by England. Spain, and Portugal) directed a thee year recovery operation of more than two million artifacts that is to this date the longest and most important excavation undertaken in the“New World. Antique 1800's "Household" Brand Treadle Sewing Machine Style 10 Drop-Head
Antique Household Model 10 Treadle Sewing Machine Drop Head Cabinet with Seven Drawers on Iron Base. I know very little about antique sewing machines so feel free to ask any questions or request additional photos if I've missed something. An original Antique Sewing Machine that is in great condition. This one looks like someone walked away from using it and it sat untouched for a century. They were made in the later 1800's by the Providence Tool Company. I found it with the old needles and tools in the wide center drawer just like when last used. There is a box marked"Household" that has the extra tools and attachments as shown in the photos. I put the items I found in the wide center drawer into the plastic bag you see in the photos including a Boye Wooden Needle Tube. Misc. buttons, thread and some old small tools. The ... moreBoye needle tube has 5 loose needles inside and three more in the original wax paper, unused. There is also the original"Instructor" booklet that is a manual and parts list. The booklet cover is loose from the rest of the book and in 2 parts but the rest is in decent shape for something this old. Based on the model descriptions in the booklet this looks like it is a Model 10 Drop Head but the cabinet has 7 drawers like the Model 5 1/2. There 6 side drawers and a wide. Shallow, center swing out drawer. The drawer pulls are round knobs and one is slightly bent. I have oiled it and it spins over with the foot pedal. It complete but my knowledge of sewing machines is limited. This machine would be an excellent candidate to restore to like new or keep as original. I have not done much more than blowing off the dust and lubing it. I am located in North Georgia. About 45 miles N of Atlanta. It would be best to pick this up, so that is how it is listed here. If you are too far away to pick it up it could be crated and shipped by freight service but I would have to build a crate for protection. Antique Vintage Victorian Wood Bugundy Cushion Couch Sofa Hand Crafted 1800's This is an antique fabulous Victorian sofa. It is 82" long and 39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand crafted hard wood decor about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around ... morethe front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of the sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. Volume 1 is in better outside condition than the other 2 volumes. I have pictured the worn corners and tryed to show the foxing on inside of all 3 books. None of the pages are torn and paper, except for foxing, is remarkably sound. The foxing is not on every single page and as you can see is worse on some than others. I cannot spread the pages enough to see the binding, but surely is string? Mid 1800's Poplar Wood Corner Cupboard - Country Antique Wooden Display Cabinet
This is a great early corner cupboard from the middle 1800's. Made of mixed woods with poplar being dominate. The bottom doors have punched tins panels for a unique look. I have owned this one for a long time and we did change a couple things. The crown molding at the top is a replacement. My son used the big cupboard as an entertainment center and removed the center shelf in the top. The interior is painted white and the middle drawer is original and functions well. Made with square nails and is a really great old piece that you just can not find anymore. Measures 82" tall by 47" wide by 33.5" deep and when you measure it from the corner of your room out to either side it is 36.5" at the crown and 34.5" at the case area. On offer is this original antique Archibald Kenrick& Sons Coal Box Iron Cast Iron circa 1800's This item is authentic and original and show signs of wear The steel has surface rust and wear showing corrosion throughout It would be great for a decoration and restoration piece Measures Approximately 6" long. 4" wide, 8" tall. Rare Vintage George Cloos/ Crosby Fife From The Early 20th Century in Excellent Condition George Cloos arrived in New York. At age 17, in 1851. According to the ship's manifest, his training was as a"joiner, a talent used in the building of wooden houses. Since the majority of new housing at the time was built of brick, Cloos had to find another way to make his living. He somehow made the jump from precision carpentry to musical instrument manufacturing. The George Cloos Company produced primarily piccolos, flutes and clarinets, and later fifes, in a shop in Brooklyn, NY from 1862 until 1946. Since part of this period covers the latter part of the Civil War, it is barely possible that he made some fifes that were used during that conflict. There is no evidence that Cloos ever had a government contract to provide fifes. The Crosby ... moreModel was the premium fife. As far as the wood goes. They all darken with age or oxidation. If it were Ebony, it probably would have cracked by now, unless it was well cared for. It is too light to be Cocoawood. It is probably Rosewood. Large Antique New England Mill Spinning Spindle Bobbin Wool Mill Late 1800's
Amazing antique spinning bobbin from a New England wool mill during the 1800's. The bobbin is large. Measures 9" long, the ends are 4.5" across. The bobbin was originally purchased from the Cannon House, Salt Lake City, Utah. The George M. Cannon House was built in 1890, today it is a bed and breakfast. The sticker says Vintage New England Bobbin. Now a collector's piece, but first used for spinning in a hundred year old mill. The sticker has been attached so long to the bobbin it has absorbed the lanoline/ machine oil that was used by the mill. The one end attached to the mill housing, the brass inner ring extends about 1.5" into the center cylinder. The center spindle has so much character after decades of use. Wonderful piece from America's industrial past!

Very nice German made Cello from mid-late 1800's , Joseph Guarnerius 1744 label
Well made old cello in quite nice condition for it's age. I acquired this as part of an estate buy-out towards the end of this past summer and have just recently had it looked at by 2 luthiers. They both believe it to be German made during the mid to late 1800's. There is a Joseph Guarnerius 1744 label inside as seen in pics. It does have a few cosmetic flaws and the verbal repair estimate was under $1000.00 to get it in top shape. It came in a tattered canvas case(not pictured) which will be included in sale if desired. Early Antique Victorian Eastlake Incised Carved Foot Stool Foot Rest 1800's
Early 1800s antique footstool. This piece has great lines and carvings. The wood is so dark black with patina or paint I can not tell what type of wood it is. The carvings and details are fabulous. It is in good condition for its age. One of the bottom of the feet is chipped but can only be seen if you flip it over. There are springs in it which does add weight to the piece. The upholstery has some issues of wear on top and I am not sure what is under the material. It seems to be easily Recoverable.
