With this modely, all speeds from 1/60th and faster seem to be firing properly, but the slower speeds are all firing at B. Believe it not I was counting the time in my head, based on a"one-one thousand" second, for speeds from 1 second to 1/8th or so, and guessing for 1/15 and 1/30 when I needed to, which was not very often. I use Tri-X, a most forgiving film, so my success rate wasn't too bad. You'll probably want to get a CLA or stick to mostly outdoor/daylight shooting. The justly famous lens renders beautifully. Highly desirable for adapting to mirrorless interchangeable lens systems such as micro 4/3. SONY, Fujifilm, etc. When you look into the front of the lens you can see a scalloped pattern of ... moreseparation at the edges of the front element. Zeiss Ikon Maximar 207/7 camera for 9x12 film plate holders. It goes with its original ground glass for focusing. 8 Zeiss 9x12 plate holders(code 665/7) and a linhof 6x9 rollfilm back to be used with 120 film. The camera is in good cosmetic condition for its age. With some leather peeled away, especially in the corners. The lens is the Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 135mm f4.5. It's in absolutely perfect condition. Completely clean and free from dust, fungus, dirt, scratches, cleaning marks or any other problems. The shutter is a Compur with speeds from 1/200 to 1 second + B and T. It works with accuracy from 1/200 to 1/5. Sometimes it hangs at 1/2 and 1 second. But it's no problem since for that speeds you can already shot in"B" mode. Bellows are in perfect condition and they can be double-extended to use the camera in"macro" ... moremode with no problem(if I remember correctly. Completely extended you can shoot macro at 1:1 magnification) The original ground glass is in good condition. Been as bright as it can be. The area of view of 6x9 pictures is marked with ink so you can shoot with the 6x9 rollfilm back. The 8 Zeiss plate holders are in good condition. Some of them show some rust and/or corrosion. But they can be used with no problem. The Linhof rollfilm back is in absolutely beautiful condition(it even has its original decal) It works perfectly with 120 size film Overall.
