Krauss Stereo Jumelle Zeiss licensed binoculars These binoculars were made by E Krauss under license from Zeiss using their designs and patents. M.E. Krauss founded the company in 1882. Working from Luetzowstrasse No 68, Berlin, Germany. By 1901 they were established in Paris and in 1922 their address was 18 Rue de Naples, Paris. These particular binoculars are almost identical to the Zeiss Feldstecher Vergr=8 design with just a few small differences. Even the front prism housing cover plates are marked in the typical Zeiss script of that period. The left hand plate is inscribed and solder-filled Stereo-Jumelle Zeiss No34361 Bte S.G.D.G. and the right hand plate E Krauss& Cie Paris. The objective lens cover plates are engraved and white filled Negretti& Zambra London indicating that they were sold by them. The hinge spindle cap has ... morethe number 8 inscribed on it along with the inter-ocular spacing dimensions. These binoculars are generally in good condition although they have quite a lot of paint wear. There is no damage and the leather covering is in good condition with no tears. Although there are a few small specks inside the objective lenses when back viewed. Normal viewing is good and collimated. The hinge swivel is smooth and firm, with the locking mechanism working perfectly. The ocular focusing is okay on both sides although the right hand side rubs very slightly. The eye cups have no chips and are believed to be original. The binoculars have a black leather neck strap but there are some cracks in the leather which should not be relied upon. The binoculars come with their original black leather case which is in decent condition. The handle and shoulder strap are missing and one side loop is torn. However. The clasp springs are still okay and close properly. All the seams are secure. Would international bidders please enquire for postage costs. It is a manual lens and is therefore small and compact compared to the later semi-automatic biotars. There are some marks on the side of the lens barrel you should be aware of. For auction is our vintage Zeiss Ikon Ikoflex TLR camera. The number 2510241 is stamped on the camera bottom. It uses 120 film and produces a 6x6cm negative. Film advance is accomplished using a knob on the side. An internal stop positions the film for exposing and a counter on the camera indicates number of exposures. This is much preferred to looking for a number through a red window. Mechanically and optically. The camera is in excellent condition. However, the leather-like material is loose in several locations and missing from the viewfinder and film spool knobs. The piece from the viewfinder is included in the package and should be easily reattached. Taking lens is the preffered and legendary Zeiss-Opton Tessar 1:3.5 75mm Nr. 30296. Viewing lens is a Teronar-Anastigmat 3.5 75mm. Both lens are clear. Lens openings range from f3.5 through ... moref16. Focusing is accomplished using an eyelevel finder on an etched glass viewer. And with the aid of a magnifying lens. Focusing mechanism moves easily and viewing is bright and clear. The leaf shutter is a Compur-Rapid having 8 speeds from 1 second through 1/250 second. The shutter must be manually cocked and there is built-in double exposure prevention. The shutter appears to be working at all speeds but the camera should be serviced by a professional if one wishes to actually use it. A carrying case is included which is in excellent shape showing little sign of wear considering its age. A leaflet and other advertisement literature is included. This was one of my personal medium format cameras used over 30 years ago and many great black-and-white family photos(which I still have) were taken using it. The camera has not been used since then. CARL ZEISS C35 CAMERA with Microscope mount/Ikopphot M Light Meter
Carl Zeiss C 35 camera fitted with what I believe is a microscope mount. But could possibly be for a telescope as well. Has an Ikophot M light meter installed which also has the Zeiss name on it. There are a few scratches and marks on the unit but nothing severe. Inside of camera is very clean. I have no way of testing the unit so I do not know if it works. As ever with Carl Zeiss products this Sonnar f4 7.5cm lens has been exquisitely made of the highest quality materials(the lens cap not so much it has been made of some wood composite material and leather covered) This is a 1934 Lens in very well preserved condition complete with original lens cap. The lens works properly and the glass is quite clear given the age although there is some very translucent beginnings of fungus. A great little lens The condition of any item I sell is described as I see it and I will declare any faults or undue wear known to me. These items are not new and condition description is subjective. 180mm 4.5 Zeiss Sonnar for Graflex XL System, AS-IS, Glass Problems
This is less than excellent. If you look at the 2nd photo you can see the paint is etched. I think is really bad dust contamination. The same thing is visible in the front coating of the lens but not nearly as bad and I could not get it to show in the photo. There are also two spots inside the rear group and I cannot tell if it is crud or fungus. The shutter sounds good at all speeds and the aperture works well. I do not see any serious scratches but this has enough problems. I have pretty much priced it for the shutter and XL mounting barrel. This is offered AS-IS for parts or repair.
