I believe that this dates from the later part of the 1960s- please take a good look at the pictures to confirm the age for yourself. The soft card pictorial cover depicts a Gemini spacecraft in orbit above the earth. The ... morebook was published by Carl Zeiss and the space photographs on the slides were released by NASA. The book is printed in both German and English and it gives an insight into the launches that took place between 1961 and 1966. Space ships and crews are named along with flight durations. Dates, altitudes and revolutions. At the back of the book are six photo slides in a plastic holder and these despict: 1. Gulf Coast. Galveston Bay& Houston 2. Suez Canal and Sinai peninsula 3. Part of the Earth and the moon 4. Geological formations of sandhills in eastern Algeria 5. Nile delta. Suez Canal connecting Mediterranean and Red Sea 6. Geological details of Sahara desert in western Algeria The book is in nice condition and the pages are clean and without any scribbles but may be slightly discoloured with age. The staples have started to rust and there is a very small amount of rust bleed. The cover has some surface marking from handling and storage and the back cover is grubby. The inner covers have pale foxing spots. There is a bit of bumping and rubbing at the corners and top and bottom of the spine. The microscope assembly it's mounted on has a Carl Zeiss 4662695 eyepiece with a filter holder, what appears to be a light source, and a cylinder containing a sliding mirror array that can be set to connect the light paths in various ways. The microscope connector at the bottom is 4.3 cm in diameter. There are two cables, one from the light source ending in a large coaxial connector and one from the camera shutter leading to a module with a button and a round 5-pin connector. As a general rule and unless noted in the description. The binoculars are collimated, are optically and mechanically in very good to good condition with no fogging, no moderate or major scratches etc. The eyes cannot see fine to moderate scratches on the lenses when viewing through them. Many of these Binoculars are the finest grade that money can buy and are designed to last a lifetime, a few are less expensive versions. New retail on most is approx $800-1,500. You save approx 25-50% off new retail. They are listed in no particular order. The numbers on Binoculars mean this. For example, 8x32. The 8 means the magnification is 8 times, so the object ... morewill appear 8 times closer, something seen at 80 feet will appear to what you would see at 10 feet. The 32 is a measurement in millimeters of the lenses closest to the object, the objective lens is 32 millimeters across in diameter. 12 power magnification is about the most you can hand hold before the image becomes shaky due to the inability for your hands to hold the binocular still. A 42 mm lens is about the largest you'll ever need or want to carry. If you are not carrying them for a long period of time, a 50mm lens can be used. Binoculars do get heavy carrying them around your neck so a 30-45mm lens should be fine for most outdoor type activities. So stick with a quality premium brand and a manageable magnification and size, 7-8-9-10 power and 30-45mm lenses. Regarding the photos. Taking photographs of Binocular Lenses outdoors is difficult to do. The camera tends to pick up things you cannot see while taking the photographs. For example dust on the lenses, reflections from the glass which gives the impression that the lenses are flawed etc. Tipping the Binoculars at certain angles will show up in photos as something is wrong with the lenses, but there is nothing wrong

Carl Zeiss Germany Plan 2.5x 2.5/0,08 160/ microscope objective from rarely used Zeiss GFL microscope. Looks to be in excellent condition with no marks on the optics or imperfections in the coatings. This was from my father's medical microscope and he rarely used it(kept inside a glass case most of the time) I don't know very much about microscopes, but will do my best to answer any questions you might have and can supply additional pictures if needed. Might be a focusing issue. Crosshair is flawless. The upper bubble level is working fine, while the other is empty thus needs refilling. Note the rubbed numbers on the positioning ring.
