Nice Vintage 1960s ROLLIEFLEX 3.5F TLR Camera, Zeiss Planar, Complete, VGC.
This is a nice old Rollieflex 3.5F which has been in my little camera collection for years. It hasn't been used and has now got a stuck diaphragm- I believe this is not uncommon with these cameras and, if you know what you're doing, isn't a difficult repair. It's in very good general condition and apart from the diaphragm it all seems to work, including the meter and self timer. The casing covering and brightwork are all very nice as are the lenses, Zeiss Planar 1;3.5 f;75mm& Heidosmat 1;2.8/75- they both look to be excellent. The serial number is 2269014 which I believe dates it to around 1965. This is a nice camera and I reckon with a little tlc here and there could be made excellent, well worth being in any collection. Nice working example of rare Super-8 camera with arguably the best lens ever put on a Super-8 Comes with a case and filter key. Clean battery chamber- tested with batteries( 6 AA's) and runs quietly and very well. Power zoom works fine. Might be a bit whiny, but might be how it normally sounds. Yellow light inside camera with a letter comes on brightly. Believe its the light meter, don't have a manual, so not sure. Lens is pretty clean. No scratches, no mold, no cleaning marks, does have the standard slight violet tinges around one edge but will not affect image at all, its a reflex so you can see through the lens and its very sharp and clear. Slight wear or rubbing on paint in back corner of camera(pictures) is the only condition issue but very small ... moreand cosmetic only. Cosmetically the camera is an A- Camera can be used with manual exposure apparently but again. No manual, Manuals are available online. Comes with original case that is not in the best condition and a filter/light key. FROM SUPER 8 WIKI: Marketed and sold from 1970-72 as the most expensive Super 8 camera ever made. This classy, yet very quirky German Super 8 retailed for a cool $1,200 back in the day. Shooting manually with this Super 8 is downright goofy, but if you can find one in good working condition, don’t think twice, buy it! Why? The binoculars were made in West Germany(Oberkochen) and probably date to the mid or late 1980's. They feature large 60mm lenses and a super-wide 4.4 degree field of view. The binoculars have built-in rubber objective covers that fold out of the way easily. The center focusing is smoth and precise. The binoculars have been well taken care of over the years. The rubber armour body is cosmetically great with minimal wear marks(see photos) The glass is scratch free with hardly any dust or blemishes. The bellows is smooth. The groundglass in the back is intact. It opens and closes just fine. The sheaths are in the film holders(and there may be film in there. This is a vintage Carl Zeiss. Medical transformer, I think. I bought it at a estate sale in a box with some other medical things. It has two smaller jack plug-ins. It has a large red light and a bakelite knob with 0-1. It was made in Germany. 110-127-150-220-240 Volts. It is in very good physical condition, with a very good power cord. Tessar 1:2.8 Carl Zeiss 50mm lens number 1658189. Camera body number L51453. Winder. F-stop, speed, focus, ASA, and light meter rings all work smoothly. The shutter fires smoothly and the meter needle moves normally. Original Zeiss Ikon leather case in good used condition. Likablitz folding flash in plastic case. The flash case has a crack but still closes. I have not taken any pictures with this, but it looks like it would take great ones.
