South Bend 16"X108" metal lathe with tooling. Powered by 230v 3 phase overhead mounted motor vee belt and flat belt drive with reversing drum switch. There are 8 spindle speeds. All gears look fine. No chipped teeth observed. Catalog number is 17H. The total bed length is 12' Acessories and tooling: 12" 4 Jaw chuck, steady rest, original thread dial, chip pan, 8" 13" face plates, and taper attachment The lathe has some dinges, scratches and minor dents. There is a lip on the ways near the chuck on the ways otherwise look average some scratches. The backlash is a little over 1/4 turn compound and crossfeed. The power feed and threading work fine. Lathe runs fine and all functions seem to work good. The lathe is missing a few oil cups. Spindle is threaded. Vintage Swinging Light Fixture Industrial Steampunk Mid-Century South Bend Lathe
This auction is for a really cool vintage lamp fixture from the 1920's or 30's. It was originally attached to an very old oak type setters slant top desk. The fixture is in good working condition with no issues. It would be perfect for an industrial. Steampunk, or mid-century theme décor. The light's shade sits about 16" above the surface it is mounted on. The total height of the fixture is about 24" The shade is 10 3/4" in diameter. The pipe is steel. The bracket is cast iron, and its painted black. The shade has a crystalline pattern black paint. The shade has no rust. Its pretty easy to install. You would only need to drill 2 holes for the bracket screws. The fixture bracket should be positioned with the pipe just beyond the edge of the table. The picture that shows the clamp is not drilled. If it were the ... morebracket would mount in further. The picture is just to illustrate the components. Once mounted the fixture can swing to the left or right. The cord does not seem to be very long. But should be easy to change if needed. I'm pretty sure it isn't original to the fixture. The metal shade easily screws onto and off of the fixture. The brass light bulb fixture has threads on the outside that mate with the shade's threads. The shade will be disassembled to allow for a thinner box, which is more economical to ship.
