Vintage Copper Soldering Iron Tip - Unusual Light Bulb Style Threaded Fitting
I've never seen one of these before. It's a copper soldering iron tip that includes a threaded end that looks like it screws into a small light bulb socket. The item looks like it was never used because there is no"tinning" on the tip. The overall length is about 2-3/4" The copper tip is about 1-1/4" long by 3/8" diameter. The insulator appears to be a ceramic of some type and the threaded end is brass with a center electrode just like a small flashlight bulb. Someone out there has the heating tool that goes with this so here is the tip you've been looking for. I want to sell this. So my auction starts at $0.99 with no reserve. We found it at an estate sale in San Diego. California.
