It gets up to heat within 30 seconds, even working outside in windy conditions, and handles up to 10ga-wire soldering jobs just fine. Up for auction is an old but fully functional heavy-duty 200Watt soldering iron. The iron was made in the USA by ESICO(Electric Soldering Iron Co) and has a nice cool grip wood handle. This thing is big; it takes a long time to heat up and even longer to cool down. A small part of the cotton power cable outer covering is a bit frayed but quite safe as there are no bare wires. Early Vintage Weller EC1301 Soldering Iron
Early Vintage Weller EC1301 soldering iron that used the EC223 handle& cord set(like current WM120 model) I have been repairing Weller soldering equipment since 1975. Refurbishment of this EC1301 iron included new EPH tip. New EC231 barrel nut, new EC222 sensor. This earlier model uses an internal terminal board in the handle and parts are soldered to that board. These specific parts are not mfg. by Weller today. But are Available via distributor inventory and Weller service/repair parts. This EC1301 Iron is OPERATIONAL and in Excellent cosmetic condition. The iron uses Weller EPH tips. Which are excellent for fine soldering work, such as SMT. NOTE& WARNING: Do NOT bid on this hand-piece for usage with any other Weller power unit.
