Vintage Relco 750X Microscope Kit
You are bidding on a Relco 750X Microscope Kit. As you can see. This kit has been well used. Only the top half of the cardboard box is present all sides are loose; one side is detached and the others are split on the seams yet held together on the bottom by staples. There are tears and writing in both pencil and pen on the box. There is a stamp on the wooden case along with some writing in pencil. The microscope functions but there are spots on the lenses that are visible when viewing a slide. There is some corrosion on the base of the microscope and the light does not function. I'm not sure if the problem lies in the electrical circuit or the original light bulb included. However, there is a mirror covering the light socket that allows you to use sunlight to illuminate the slides. There are eight glass slides, all of them have some chips ... moreon them. There is one broken slide and two prepared sides containing Panya and Wool Fibre. There are also two sets of slide clips. Infinity corrected optic, and must be used only on uncovered specimens. The objective is spring-loaded for protection of the front lens. The lens has a relatively high numerical aperture of 0.75. And is highly corrected for flatness of field up to a 28mm field-of-view index, as well as very high color correction. The Fluotars are bested only by the Apochromats. The lens mounting thread is standard RMS which makes this lens suitable for earlier instruments such as the Ergolux, Metalloplan, and others which used RMS nosepieces. It may be used on more recent 32mm thread instruments via a type 562 281 adapter ring(not included) Nomenclature is on an engraved ... morering which may be rotated on the objective for optimal visibility when installed on a nosepiece. Leitz part number of the objective is 567 052. It was specifically manufactured for KLA inspection stations. And there is a KLA serial number engraved on the side of the objective(596) The lens is in superb condition- no marks of any sort on the glass. And the barrel is free of blemishes. Bausch & Lomb Stereo Microscope w/Variable Light
Up for auction is this used Bausch& Lomb stereo microscope. Has adjustable head with 2 original 10x eyepieces. Focus and fine focus works good but is hard to turn. Variable light works great as does the iris diaphragm condenser underneath the stage. Stage has a great working cross slide. Comes with 4 original objectives- 4x/0.10, 10x/0.25, 40x/0.65, OIL 100x/1.25. Unit has some small tape residue spots and writing on the back on the microscope but overall a clean unit. Viewing is clear from hazing and scratches. I will charge extra to ship this to a PO box. Thanks for looking.

Vintage Leitz Polarizing (Petrographic) microscope very fine condition, model KM
This offering is for a very. Very fine Leitz Polarizing, or Petrographic Microscope, model KM, serial number 213439, dating from approximately 1923. Condition is truly amazing, especially considering the age- the original lacquer is very nearly perfect, as you can see. The black paint on the stand is near perfect. The rack and pinion motions for the main tube, and for the condenser are silky smooth. Fine focus is fine, though this mechanism uses gravity to go"down" and being a bit stiff from age, needs a bit of pressure aid from a finger for reliable fine focus down. Plano-convex mirror is fine. Substage, their then type"B" is fine. Iris works fine. Stage is fine, and rotates smoothly, and has two clips. The calcite prisms for the polarizer and analyzer are very good and clear, and work well. The outfit still has its little ... morered leatherette covered case, which fits into the cabinet, and in which are held the three objectives(on collars) Leitz Numbers 1, 3 and 6, of powers 3.2, 10 and 45) The eyepiece(30 mm diameter) is 6.3 x m. Thus, with these optics, your overall magnifications are 20, 63, and 283, however, numerous Leitz(and other) objectives, and eyepieces, can be found on eBay so just about any reasonable power of magnification one could desire can be found.In the red box, in addition to the objectives on their collars, are the two objective centering wrenches, to precisely center the optic axis on the axis of stage rotation, and the usual two wave plates, 1/4 and full wave, both looking and working perfectly. Objectives and the eyepiece are optically fine. I do not believe I have seen a nicer microscope of this age! Magnificent for display, and quite functional, essentially as when new. You will recognize that one picture is from a Leitz catalog of that era, the other eleven are of this instrument. The case has had a repair to the back.
