It turns nicely but I know nothing of it's ... morehistory so it's possible it may need to be rebuilt. The cap looks good with no obvious cracks but that's not to say that once it's removed. Cleaned and inspected there might be a problem somewhere on it. The last photo shows a partial view of the inside condition. The gasket wasn't cooperating so I didn't go any further and be the one to rip it- it most likely will need to be replaced anyway. The 2 hold down screws on the cap are there but the 2 hold down nuts aren't, although those 2 studs look fine. There's no metal ID badge evident to me on it, and the decal type ID label is pretty much worn off so I'm not able to supply a model number(photo 3) As mentioned, this is being sold as is, and may need a rebuild and some replacement parts. Old Original Fordson Farm Tractor Gas Fuel Tank Hit Miss Engine Magneto NICE!!
This is a super nice ORIGINAL split gas tank for a Fordson farm tractor. It was found on the loft of an old barn and has been high and dry for many decades. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has the embossed ends with the Fordson name in them and also has the embossed labels for the two different tanks in it. It has the original cast iron sediment bulb and both original covers. Both of the covers are loose and turn as they should. The inside of the tank is nice and clean and the outside just has some very minor surface rust in places. It would be tough to find a nicer original tank anywhere! If you need one for a restoration here's your chance. You can buy reproduction tanks but they aren't like this one! Very clean Mid 19th century Davis& Kidders For Nervous Diseases Machine in excellent condition for its age and seems to be all original parts. It is signed by W. H. Burnap. Crank works and nothing seems to be missing. It does give a charge when cranked but I did not want to crank it to hard as I did not want to damage it. Whether it is in"working" order. Welllll, you can be the judge of that. The box measures 10 inches in length by 4 1/2 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches tall. It is among the most seldom seen and the most sought after of all the early Patent Magneto Machines, and it is rarely found in such pristine, working condition. Unlike the portable electric machines offered by Davis& Kidder(and others) The Gray Magneto Electric Machine featured a meter embedded in the lid. The meter's arm was connected to a mechanical regulator, built into the underside of the lid, whose construction is a work of engineering art. When the thumbscrew ... moreon the left side of the cabinet is turned, the magneto's governor moves incrementally, and the the rack and pinion gearing system, connected via a pair of rods to the lower assembly, drives the meter's arm to indicate the intensity of the shock to be administered- on a scale ranging from 0 to 100. The pictures should give you a pretty idea of the device's clockwork-like construction. But you really have to see it and hold it to fully appreciate what a marvelous instrument it is. Condition. As you can see, is excellent to near mint throughout. The brass gearing is exquisite, and- though a bit sticky in spots- it moves the arm on the meter as designed. The lag angle is set on 25. The tie plate on the generator is marked 22A along with an H in a box. 315H is stamped into the top edge of the box and a K in the bottom edge. Bells ring when cranked; crank included. The painted bells are brass; there are mars along the side on one bell. Wow. Just as I puled it from the old Fruit Box out of the homesteads attic. Don't know much about theses. I do know the Oak ringer from Kellogg Switchboard and Supply Co. is very clean. I didn't even dust it off. Oak dovetailed box is very tight. And look inside, 5 Bar Magneto with a slight bit of dust and the wires are still bright and clean. Doesn't look like it has been refurbished. Crank still spins freely and the bells even ring. Might be a very easy repair if it needs it at all. Wire casing looks to be dry and cracking a bit, probably replacement is best. Now. The Candlestick Telephone from Western Electric Company, The ear piece has a crack(see picture) s on ear piece edge 144-AW. Around the base of the phone stand Western Electric Co. Patent dates are very hard to see but I'm almost certain they are Aug 1904 and Sept ... more1904. Back of stand Pivot# 20 SC.
