These were used on Allis Chalmers tractors as well as ... moremany others. It is an FM J4B3A and is in excellent condition and puts out a HOT. Fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It is a flange mount magneto. The magneto is clockwise rotation and the impulse works perfectly. The leadout towers are in excellent condition. The only flaw that I've noted is a slight crack in the cap which doesn't really affect it's performance but needed to be noted. If you have a dead magneto with a good cap this would be an excellent replacement but it works fine just the way it is. These magnetos are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they usually require several hundred dollars to rebuild. This one really doesn't need anything. It's ready to go to work on a tractor or on the shelf for a spare. The pictures tell the story. You won't be disappointed in any way. Good Luck. This is a very nice ORIGINAL sales catalog for Gilson hit and miss gas engines. It is catalog G-7 and measures about 6 1/8 x 9 1/4 inches with 32 pages. It shows all of the features and variations of the Gilson engines that were available back in the day. It is in good condition with only minor wear and soiling. It has a slight water stain along the top edge but this in no way affects the information it contains. These original catalogs are extremely tough to find in the wild and they really make a display more complete when they accomodate an engine at the shows. The pictures tell the story on this piece. Old IHC Diesel Tractor Power Unit Injector Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Magneto
This is an original early style diesel fuel injector for an International Harvester tractor or power unit. It mounts with two holes 2 3/4 inches apart on center. The barrel is about 1 13/16 inches in diameter. It seems to be in good used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is the original injector used in the MD, WD-6, WD-9, ID-6, ID-9, TD-6, TD-9, UD-6, UD-9, TD-14, TD-18, UD-14, UD-18, and probably others. Do your homework if you're looking for one. These don't turn up very often especially for individual sale so if you need one don't overlook this one. It's in real nice shape and would probably work although I haven't tested it. Old Fairbanks Morse 6hp Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Ignitor Trip Push Rod Magneto NICE
This is a very hard to find original ignitor trip and push rod for a 6hp Fairbanks Morse Z engine with the early ignitor and rotary magneto setup on it. These were the earliest versions of the Z lineup. This assembly is in excellent original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except that it needs a compression spring under the ignitor trip finger. This is an item that can be purchased at a local hardware store for less than $1. This push rod measures about 24 inches from the tip to the center of the cam follower roller and is 1/2 inch in diameter. I believe it is for a 6hp engine but measure your engine to be sure. I believe the ignitor trip is the same on the 3hp engines as well. Everything on this assembly moves freely with little wear and is ready to be go to work on an engine. These are often broken, repaired, or ... moremissing so if you need one to finish a restoration or just for a spare on the shelf, here it is. The pictures tell the story. This is an original valve cover wing nut for a 1 1/2hp or 3-5hp International Harvester type LA or LB gas engine. It is in good condition for it's age. Has perfect threads and is ready to be used on an engine. It would clean up and paint very nicely. Old IHC LA Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Valve Cover Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler
This is an original valve cover for a 1 1/2- 2 1/2hp International Harvester type LA gas engine. It may fit the 3-5hp engines as well. It measures about 2 3/4 inches deep to go over the head and valves so measure your engine to be sure. It is in good condition for it's age with no dings or dents of any kind. The swinging tab door works as it should. It would clean up and paint very nicely. The only flaw that I've noted is a small"tear" in each side the could easily be welded and blended before painting. These original valve covers are tough to find in any condition and this one just needs a little elbow grease to be perfect. The pictures tell the story. MICHIGAN MAGNETO CO TYPE M MAG or GENERATOR Hit and Miss Old Gas Engine RARE
Here is a very nice Michigan Magneto Type M magneto. There is no bearing wear. Nothing is broken. Cracked or repaired. The armature turns smoothly and very strong magnetic pull can be felt when turning it. I am not exacatly sure what this mag is for. I am pretty sure it is a low tension mag ment to be used with an igniter. When the shaft is turned and a wire from the terminal is brushed against the body of the mag a nice blue spark is made. It also possible that it could be a lighting generator. Take a look at the pictures and see for yourself. Type M Brass Body No bearing wear 8-5/8" long. 4-1/2" wide, 8-3/4" tall The shaft is tapered. Old Vintage Ford Car Truck Engine Starter Hit Miss Gas Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a pretty hard to find original starter for a vintage Ford car or truck. It is in good condition as can be seen with only one small crack in the back cover. I don't believe this will affect its performance. It has not been tested but has come from an old service garage where it has sat on the shelf for many years. It does turn over. I will not guarantee the correctness of the application but the box that it has lived in for decades says that it will fit the 1956-1961 6 and 8 cylinder 12 volt applications. It will fit the Thunderbird except the 430 engine. It will also fit the 1956-60 truck. The 1956-58 Mercury, and the 1956-7 Lincoln. The label also says"Special" on the bottom of it. Here is a real nice original magneto gear for an International Harvester Type M 3hp gas engine. It is part number 9779T and measures about 3 1/8 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch face. It has a 3/8 inch hole for the magneto armature shaft and the keyway is in great shape. It has 36 teeth and they are in great shape. They have no noticeable wear at all. This gear has no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and is ready to be put to work on an engine. There are some very minor fatigue cracks in the gear but they are hard to notice and won't cause any problems. Old Fuller Johnson N Hit Miss Gas Engine Ignitor Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler
This is an original ignitor for a Fuller and Johnson hit and miss gas engine. It is part number 2N88A and fits the 1 1/2 through the 12hp engines. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes 2 3/4 inches apart on center. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the tip of the movable shaft by the point. This should be an easy repair. The movable shaft has VERY little wear. The trip parts on the outside end of the movable shaft are missing but these would be pretty easy to make. The spring that's on it is not original it's just to hold the movable shaft from falling out. This would be a perfectly usable ignitor with just a little bit of work so if you need one for a project don't miss it. They don't turn up that often even at swap meets! The pictures tell the story. Old Detroit G Prairie Tractor Steam Era Car Hit Miss Gas Engine Oiler Magneto
This is an excellent original Detroit Model G 6 feed mechanical lubricator for an early prairie tractor. Automobile, or hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is missing the cover over the outlets but this shouldn't be real tough to make. The shaft turns freely as it should and I see no reason this lubricator shouldn't work. It has a cast iron body and measures 4 3/8 x 10 inches and is about 5 3/4 inches tall. It is about 16 inches long overall. It mounts with four holes in cast iron bosses on the back of the body on a 2 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch bolt pattern. These original lubricators were used on some of the early prairie type tractors among others and are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one for a project don't ... morelook past this one. This is a gas tank for a hit and miss gas engine. I'm not sure what brand of engine it is for but if you know please educate me. It measures about 2 5/8 x 5 7/8 inches and is about 16 1/8 inches long. It has two 1/2 inch female fittings at two top corners. It has a 1/4 inch female outlet on the bottom about 3 1/4 inches back from the front. The tank seems to be very solid with no rust and I almost think it is a newly made tank. The solder is a bit crude but could easily be dressed down. It looks like someone has put sealer in the tank after it was built and although I haven't tested it. I think it would hold gas. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the small missing piece around the bottom mounting hole This should be a pretty easy piece to make. It would probably even work the way it is with a little ingenuity. This bracket mounts to the engine with two holes 3 1/2 inches apart on center. The points look to be in perfect shape and there is no noticeable wear at all in the movable shaft. With just a little elbow grease this bracket will be in perfect condition. This is a real nice and rare United Engine Company rotary low tension magneto/dynamo/generator for an old hit and miss gas engine. I've had many engine dynamos or generators similar to this one but never one like this! This magneto is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. Even the original base is in excellent condition. The bearings have little wear and will last a long time yet. The magnets have excellent magnetic pull and this magneto puts out a hot, fat, juicy spark that is sure to run your engine if it is adjusted properly. It puts out 9 volts with a meter! NOTE. What you are buying: I bought these items at an estate sale. I have no way of checking them for function and can just describe them as I see them. I have not removed any covers or cases to see what is in the inside or what the inside looks like. I have not cleaned on them except to brush off a data plate to make it readable. They are offered as I found them. I have pointed out the problems that I can see, but that may not be all that is wrong with them. I have taken a lot of good photos for you to view for evaluating what you will be bidding on. Please buy these as'donors' to be used for parts that you may need and knowing that they probably do not work. This item is an EISEMANN magneto. It is for a 2 cylinder engine. The distributor cap looks OK with some slight erosion of one lead port as shown in the photos. It is written ... moreon it that it has"No rotor" and"No cond. It also is labeled as"WET" It will rotate in either direction and I can feel a slight magnetic'bump' as I turn it. The arrow on the case points in the CCW direction. The gear looks OK. This is a super original 3/4 inch Gardner governor for a steam engine or tractor. It was made by the Gardner Governor Company in Quincy. Illinois. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It turns nicely and has very little wear. The horizontal shaft has very mild wear but will last a long time. It has the original drive pulley on it and the gears have no noticeable wear on them. The 3/4 inch pipe threads are in great shape. Everything on this governor moves freely. I would say this governor is ready to be put to use! It measures about 13 1/2 inches tall overall. These smaller governors are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for on here's your chance. Old Bates Edmonds Bulldog Hit Miss Gas Engine Webster Magneto Ignitor Bracket
This is a very hard to find original Webster magneto mounting ignitor bracket for a Bates and Edmonds Bulldog gas engine. It is bracket number 303K138 and is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs and is in near perfect condition. The movable shaft has no wear at all. The roller is in perfect shape and everything works as it should. The points are in great shape and should last a very long time. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes about 3 3/16 inches apart on center. The barrel measures 1 13/16 inches in diameter. The only thing this bracket needs is a flip top oil cup for the movable shaft which is available rather inexensively from several of the hobby suppliers. This ignitor bracket is for all of the Bulldog engines from 2 1/2 through 12hp. It may fit others as well. Measure your engine to be sure. If you need one for ... morea project or a restoration they don't get much nicer than this one. This is a real nice original cast iron starting crank for a 1 1/2hp International Harvester Type M gas engine. It fits on a 1 1/2 inch crankshaft and will certainly work to start any engine that it fits on but it came from the factory with a 1 1/2hp M. It is part number 9756 T and the spinner moves as it should. It is in near perfect original condition with no cracks. Breaks or repairs of any kind. It is ready to go to work on an engine. Old Vintage Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Muffler Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler NICE
This is a real nice original muffler for a hit and miss gas engine or tractor. It in excellent used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 6 inches in diameter and has 1 1/4 inch pipe threads. It is rather heavy and would make an excellent noise reducing muffler on any engine or tractor. It looks very nice, too! Old IHC M Hit Miss Gas Engine Connecting Rod Grease Cup Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a rather hard to find original crankshaft connecting rod grease cup for an International Harvester Type M gas engine. It is factory equipment for the 1 1/2. 3, and 6hp engines and is in excellent used condition with only minor wear from its years of service. These are often missing, broken, or damaged beyond repair so if you need one for a restoration don't miss this one. It has a little surface rust on the cup but this will polish out easily. The threads are in excellent condition and this is ready to be put to use. The pictures tell the story. Old Original IHC 1 3/4 2 1/2hp Mogul Magneto Gear Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam NICE
This is a very hard to find original cast iron magneto gear for a 1 3/4 and 2 1/2hp International Harvester Mogul gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and is ready to be used on an engine. It measures 3 13/16 inches in diameter and has 36 teeth. It is original part number 1479T and even has some original Mogul green paint on it yet. These original gears are very tough to find and always look better than the steel reproductions. Old Fairbanks Morse RV4 Allis Chalmers Tractor Magneto Hit Miss Gas Engine HOT!!
This is a real nice original Fairbanks Morse RV4B four cylinder magneto for an antique tractor. These were used on Allis Chalmers tractors as well as many others. It is in excellent condition and has been gone through. Cleaned, and adjusted and puts out a HOT, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It is a flange mount magneto. The magneto is clockwise rotation and the impulse works perfectly. The only flaw I've noted is two VERY minor cracks in one of the leadout towers and this won't even be noticed when the magneto is on the tractor. It also needs a little orange paint removal and it will shine nicely. These magnetos are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they usually require several hundred dollars to rebuild. This one is in near perfect shape and needs nothing. It was factory equipment on the 1 1/2 and 3hp M engines and it was also a optional attachment on other engines like the 1hp Famous and Titan along with the Titan Jr. It is in rough condition and may only be good for parts. The nice part about rebuilding these is that all of the parts are available from the magneto hobby suppliers. The pictures tell the story. Good Luck.

He is in mint condition and was only removed to photograph then was placed back into his box. This is the exclusive version that came with the name plate. The bust is also 1/4 scale. His name plate however does have a tiny paint fleck(not a chip) on the tip of the curved part on the base. It is very hard to notice or see while it is being displayed.
