Antique Homelite farm/ranch generator engine with flat belt pulley. Turns over nice and has good compression. Marked model D 110 volts 600amp serial# 1234. Don't know much about it. This auction is for an old Splitdorf model SS 1 cylinder trip magneto. I am not of all of its applications. But it is complete, and in very nice working condition, very hot. The mounting holes measure approx. 2" X 2" and the trip arm measures approx. 2 3/4" long from the center of the shaft, and the magneto itself measures approx. 6" tall, and 8" long. This is a real nice original brass steam whistle. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 1 1/2 inches in diameter at its largest and about 6 3/4 inches long. It has 3/8 inch pipe threads and they are in great shape but are a bit dirty. It has the original curved lever on it but the pivot pin has been replaced with a bent nail. It would be a very easy repair. This whistle has some minor wear and imperfections but it has some great original character. After just a little elbow grease it would be ready to go to work on a boiler or on your shelf in your whistle collection or display. This is an original CROSBY brass steam whistle or exhaust whistle. It is in original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the top as can be seen in the photos. It measures about 2 inches in diameter at its largest and about 10 1/2 inches long. It has 3/4 inch pipe threads and they are in great shape. I think the actuating lever may be home made as it is steel but it looks and functions just fine. This whistle has some minor wear and blemishes overall but it has some great original character. It is marked CROSBY on the top of the bowl and has E473 stamped into one of the flats of the mounting hex. Offering this single cylinder engine of unknown origin. Cast iron cases. With no damage. Incorrect cylinder, base mount, holes do not line up with case holes. Single valve lifter. Engine would have had atmospheric intake. Piston is cast iron and fits bore 3-1/4" diameter. 3-9/16 cylinder base bore on case. Looks to have a 3-1/2" stroke. Motor mount holes are 10-7/8" x 2" center to center. The only casting numbers are in drive side of case and they are very faint. Looks to be E152. Drive shaft is 7/8" diameter. This is a real nice original BUCKEYE brass steam whistle. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 3 inches in diameter at its largest and about 12 1/2 inches long. It has 3/4 inch pipe threads and they are in great shape but the leading thread may need to be chased. It has the original curved lever on it and everything works as it should. It is marked Buckeye near the top as can be seen in the pictures. It also has a 64 stamped in one of the flats of the mounting hex. This whistle has some minor wear overall but it has some great original character. It is pretty crisp and it has some great original patina. I believe it is ready to go to work on a boiler or on your shelf in your whistle collection or display. Stationary hit miss engine pulley-bent spoke, old timey-nice one!!
Here is a great old timey bent spoke pulley that is in fine shape! It does have surface rust but is very sound like it was made yesterday. The bolt that comes with it is not the original as you can see. It measures 7" in diameter. Is 2 9/16" wide, with the shaft hole being 1" in diameter. On one side of the spokes is cast"P27" and"B"Near the"P27" can be seen some minor flaws in the cast on the outside edge[outer wall] of the shaft hole. WIZARD TYPE 2 4 BOLT Rotary Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto & 30 Tooth Gear LAUSON?
This auction is for a large brass bodied Wizard rotary magneto with its original 30 tooth drive gear. And a 30 tooth idler gear that was attached to it when I bought it years ago. This is a 4 bolt mag which you hardly ever see. I am not sure of all of its application, but I believe some of you out there will know for sure. It is very greasy/dirty, but turns over nicely, and is complete. It does work, but the bushings are a bit worn, and may need to be rebushed. The mounting holes measure approx. 2" square center to center. Overall this mag measures approx. 6 1/2" tall, and 6 1/2" long from the end of the shaft to the back of the rear bearing plate. I bought these oilers at an estate sale and my knowledge is limited. The total lengths are 2 5/8" 2 1/4" and 1 7/8" The barrels are 2 1/4" 2" 1 3/8" long and 1 1/8" 7/8" 3/4" in diameter. The oilers appear to be chrome plated brass and I don't see any markings, The handle turns smoothly and freely on the smallest, but when you turn the handle on the two larger ones, the whole cap turns. This is a really nice original sales catalog from Fairbanks Morse for their Y Horizontal Oil Engines from 10-25hp. It measures about 6 x 9 inches with 20 pages and is in excellent original condition. It is crisp and sharp and it has barely even been looked through. It shows all of the features. Options, and accessories for these engines with great detail. It shows all of the configurations that were available including electric lighting and the single flywheel pump engines. Are there any surviving pump engines? This catalog would be a great addition to your early engine literature collection or display especially if you have a Y engine. The pictures tell the story. You won't be disappointed in any way. Original Cooper STOVER Hit Miss Gas Engine Sheep Farm Pocket Sales Memo Book WOW
This is a really neat original advertising pocket memo book from Wm. Cooper and Nephews Company in Australia and their American branch in Chicago. It measures about 3 x 4 11/16 inches with 82 pages. It has lots of advertising for Stover engines. Sheep shearing setups with these engines, general sheep farm necessities, and a section of blank pages for notes by the farmer. It is dated 1927-1928 and is in good condition with minor wear and soiling. It would be a neat addition to your Stover or Cooper display or collection. Antique Cast Iron 12" Wheel For Hit & Miss Engine ???
Up for auction this week we have a vintage 12" diameter cast iron wheel with a belt groove. I don't know what it is off of. Maybe a hit and miss engine? Anyway, as stated it is 12" in diameter, and is 1 5/8" wide. It weighs 12 lbs. There is a belt groove? around the circumference of the wheel. This groove measures approx. 1/2" at the top and 1/8" at the bottom. The center hole measures 1" in diameter. There is an outer hole/ cut out area around the center hole, that area measures 2 5/8" I hope I described that right) There are 6 spokes to this wheel. One spoke has 044-0031 embossed on it. Another spoke has FMF embossed on it. Another spoke has what looks to be a Briggs& Stratton symbol with the number 3. This wheel is old and rusty. This is a real nice original LUNKENHEIMER brass steam whistle. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 2 5/16 inches in diameter at its largest and about 9 inches long. It has 1/2 inch pipe threads and they are in great shape. It has the original brass or bronze lever on it and everything works as it should. This whistle has some minor wear overall but it has some great original character. It is crisp and sharp in almost every way and it has some great original patina. I believe it is ready to go to work on a boiler or on your shelf in your whistle collection or display. I have a list of the new parts.New parts are just that NEW.Rebuilt parts are as close to New as we can get them.They are also in perfect working order. There is a no reserve on the auction, Here is a short list of work done. De-Glazed cylinder bore Used electrolysis to clean up any internal parts(gov.Gears,piston,etc) All gears/bearings cleaned Gas tank and Pan Cleaned and fuel tank liner in tank. Does have a old crack in the bottom of block. Just needs to be fixed. Associated Hired Man Air Cooled Hit and Miss Model Gas Engine Gasoline
Paul Breisch designed Associated hit and miss gas engine model. This is a nicley built model gas engine. It has 6" flywheels. It has been sitting on a shelf in the shop for the last 20 years and not run during that time. It ran nicely when it was made but it may take some tinkering to get it running again after sitting all that time. The gas tank cap is missing and the bracket on one side of the gas tank will need to be soldered back in place. The drip oiler is also missing. I think the flywheel keys will also need a shim inserted to tighten them up. It is dusty and oiley from sitting and will need a good clean up but it is nice under all the dirt. It has an oak mounting box with a flip up hinged lid that holds the coil and electrical connections. Has good compression and turns over nicely.
