Maytag -Briggs and Stratton- Iron Horse Gas Engine Truck Cart Hit Miss
I bought this little cart under an Iron Horse. Which is in the last picture, and does not sell, cart only is selling. I have other use for the engine, so would like to sell the cart to recoup some of the money. It is a nice little hand made cart. I am sure it is at least 20-30 years old. There is no way to know. It is made of scale type wheels and bent and welded steel. It will make some one a dandy little cart. The whole cart weighs about 13#For shipping, I filled out the calculator, but if buyer would like, I could bend the handle over, and toss the wood, and send it in a flat rate box. If going abroad, I am not sure I can change how the price is figured, if you intend on buying it from across the pond, I would change shipping details before you pay. And maybe even before you bid. Old STANDARD OIL COMPANY Salesman Sample Kit Service Station Hit Miss Engine WOW
This is a rather hard to find if not rare original salesman's sample kit of products from the Standard Oil Company. It contains 15 sample tubes of various oils and chemical products that they offered. Most of which are full. Each one has it's separate holder. There are oils, heavy oils, stock spray, and harness oil. I would estimate this to be from the 1920's to the 1940's. There is a section for 6 grease samples but these are missing. It is housed in the original leather handled carrying case that measures about 2 5/8 x 9 1/2 inches and stands about 8 inches tall. It has mild wear from its years of service but still displays very nicely. These salesman sample kits hardly ever turn up in the wild or even at car shows or swap meets so don't miss your chance on it. The pictures tell the story. Old WORTHINGTON INGECO Hit Miss Gas Engine Webster Magneto Ignitor Bracket WOW!
This is an original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for a Worthington or Ingeco hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is bracket number 303M63 and is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except that it needs a new return spring and a cotter pin. This should be an easy repair. Other than that it is in near perfect condition. The movable shaft has no wear at all on it and the points look like new. The roller is in good shape but needs to be freed up but everything works as it should. it even has the original priming cup on it. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes about 3 1/2 inches apart on center. The barrel measures 1 13/16 inches in diameter. This ignitor bracket is for a 1 1/2, 2 1/2, and 4hp Worthington and Ingeco engines. It may fit others as well. Measure your engine to be sure. The engine is very unworn, there is no slop in anything, even the brass eccentric is nice and tight. It runs great, and governor works like new. I have been running it around 15psi and it will run as slow as you want to run it or as fast. No matter what speed you are running it, if you put your hand on the flywheel the governor kicks right in, sounds great. Old WATERLOO GAS ENGINE CO Pump Jack Hit Miss Steam Tractor JOHN DEERE NICE!
This is a very hard to find original Waterloo Gas Engine Company belt driven pump jack. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for two small cracks as I've pointed out in the photos. It has most of its original green paint on it and is covered with grease just like it left the farm! Everything seems to work as it should and there doesn't seem to be much wear anywhere on it. It has the original wooden uprights and cross tie on it. This would look great powered by a hit and miss engine pumping water at the shows! Original Waterloo pump jacks like this are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and are MUCH harder to find than the John Deere or Dain models so don't miss your chance on this one. Starting Crank Hit Miss Stationary Gas Engine Sandwich? LARGE
This is a large starting crank for an unknown engine. I have had the suggestion of Sandwich. Part number on it is 23-3452A The spring loaded catch is reversible for opposite starting engines or cranking from the off side. The opening is exactly 2.25" so would likely be for a 2.125" shaft. The crank throw is short so the engine would have a compression release. Nice long handle for double gripping the crank. Handle is 9" The throw is 9" The crank weighs 9# all by itself. No cracks. Old 3hp FAIRBANKS MORSE Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Ignitor Steam Tractor Oiler
This is a pretty nice old 3hp Fairbanks Morse Z gas engine. It is a throttle governed engine. It turns over nicely and has decent compression even though it hasn't run for a few years. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than a vinyl connecting rod bearing. It might work with this bearing or they are available rather inexpensively from some of the hobby suppliers. It has a good gas tank under it. The engine is an earlier Z model as it has the Sumter Plugoscillator ignition setup on it. It will need a magneto and a trip finger to run. Everything is loose and seems to move as it should. It does have some wear on some of the moving parts but most things do when they're close to 100 years old! I think this engine was in the process of being restored and never got finished. It has a reproduction muffler ... moreon it and will need the fuel plumbing finished. It has the original larger brass serial tag on the front of the hopper. The head doesn't seem to ever have been broken or repaired which is somewhat of a rarity for these engines. It has an older paint job in the correct green color and although it has some wear and chips here and there still displays pretty nicely. I can deliver this engine for free to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, next year. I can also ship it quite reasonably through Fastenal. This is a rather hard to find original sales catalog for the high speed steam engines made by the Ames Iron Works in Oswego. New York. It is from 1902 and measures about 6 x 9 inches and has 44 pages. It has several engravings of the engines and their different configurations and features. It also shows the different options and attachments. It is heavily illustrated! It is a great reference book and would be a fine addition to your early engine or industrial advertising library. It would also look great displayed with your engine or equipment at the shows. It is in good condition for it's age with no missing pages. It does have some minor wear and soiling still displays very nicely. This is a very scarce catalog and I can't imagine that many of these survived the wrath of the wood stove back in the day so don't miss your chance ... moreon it. John Deere Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto with 1 1/2 HP Gear & Cover Nice condition
Here's a nice piece for your John Deere gas engine. This magneto and cover will fit any of the sizes 1 1/2- 3- 6 HP. But the gear is specific to the 1 1/2 HP engine. It even has the original felt oil seal behind the gear! This is a nice complete unit in good condition. The mounting holes are good and the mag turns nice and smooth. No damage or repairs anywhere on this mag that I can see! Many of these engines are missing the mag or have mags with damage. This is a good piece to fix your engine with. It should work with a cleanup and possibly a recharge of the magnets but I haven't tested it. Don't miss out on a really nice piece for your gas engine. Original IHC FAMOUS TITAN MOGUL Clutch Pulley Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto WOW
This is a real nice original cast iron pulley for an International Harvester Famous. Titan, or Mogul hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for two cracks in the spokes right by the hub. I don't think this would hurt anything to use it like this or it would be a great candidate for stitching. The carrier is part number G907 and the pulley measures 24 inches in diameter with a 6 3/4 inch face. It mounts to every spoke of the flywheel on a 7 5/8 inch on center bolt pattern. This pulley should fit the 4, 6, and 10hp Famous, Titan, and Mogul engines. It should fit the 5 and 6hp vertical Famous and Titan's. It should fit the 6 and 10hp M engines. It should also fit the 4 and 6hp Titan Sideshaft engines. Please measure your engine to be sure it works ... morefor your application. Everything is free and works as it should. The handwheel has minor wear and the wood clutch shoes look to have lots of life left in them. These original bigger clutch pulleys are next to impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they really set an engine off! If you've been looking for one to complete a restoration here's your chance. This one is ready to be put to work on an engine if you like or you could take a little time to stitch the cracked spokes. Old HERCULES ECONOMY Hit Miss Gas Engine Starting Crank Steam Magneto Oiler NICE
This is a very hard to find original cast iron starting crank for a 1 1/2 or 2hp Hercules or Economy hit and miss or throttling governor gas engine. It is in perfect condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is part number 177F and fits on a 1 1/4 inch crankshaft and would certainly work on any engine that it fits on but it came from the factory with a Hercules and Economy engine. The tab that grabs the gib key is in great shape. The spinner on the handle is not stuck. These original cranks are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one here's your chance. Here is a# 5 Lunkenheimer Paragon Oiler. On the top lid it reads. The Lunkenheimer Co. Cincinnati O. Paragon No. 5 Patented January 21, 1902. The top glass is 3" X 3" Overall condition is very good with no chips or cracks on both top and bottom glass. It measures 8 3/4" with the snap lever up, and has 3/8" connecting threads. It is very clean, and I did put new gaskets in it. Nice oiler to put on your hit and miss engine or to display. Please check out my other auctions on now and in the next few weeks. Rare1937 Antique Wisconsin AC4-4 cylinder Engine Hit Miss
Nice original 1937 Wisconsin AC4 engine. This is a nice running engine with lots of power. It is an air cooled 4 cylinder Wisconsin engine that is not very common. These engines were used during WW2 to power various types of equipment including saws. Pumps, etc. Some parts have been replaced- The manifold is pipe fittings instead of cast iron, the fuel tank appears to be an old Kohler tank, fuel line is rubber but I have original copper. The clutch on this engine functions very poorly. Needs adjusted. It will not throw out the belt pulley without lots of pressure. Clutch will be a project for the buyer.Not sure if orange color is correct to factory colors. I have the original hand crank and manual that go with it. This engine is heavy so buyer will need to pick it up. Own an engine that not many people have.

Galloway Or Hit And Miss Antique Gas Engine Clutch Pulley Very Nice
Rare and hard to find early style.I think to be Galloway but may also be correct for Waterloo and possibly others, shaft mount clutch pulley. Nice all cast iron with no cracks breaks or welds and looks to be in good working order. Pulley is just under 7 inches across the face and about 171/2 in in Dia. Shaft hole size is around 23/4 inches,I think this is for about a 4 to 6 HP size but not sure. Antique hit and miss, steam engine 1867 Dreyfus .00 oiler model engine/ machine
I Dreyfus.00 size oiler with 1/8 pipe threads and three inches tall. Pat. date May 1. 1867 and it has a crack in the glass as seen in the photo. It will need new cork gaskets if it is used, and would make a nice static display piece with no wrench marks. It is a very rare brass oiler and shipping in the states only is free.
