Franke Saphira Automatic Espresso Machine - Jura compatible -- For Parts only
I enjoy the Franke Flair. Saphira and Jura Swiss espresso machines. They have been easy to operate and fairly simple to maintain. I'm mechanically inclined so that aspect is easy. The electronics are a bit more to deal with. This machine was purchased but the plug could not be used in my location. Most of the larger parts are interchangeable with the Flair, Saphira, and Jura Impressa machines. I'm currently unable to operate the coffee business, so I made the decision to sell a couple machines. This one is for PARTS ONLY- or restoration if you are willing and capable to do needed repairs and adjustments and locate missing parts. I haven't even used the machine. It's possible it can be restored. Under the green light's nozzle side(hot water? there is a tiny leak that drains into the drip tray from right behind the stainless steel back. I felt back there and it is right at the connector so maybe it's loose? I don't know. The steam nozzle doesn't seem to produce any steam what so ever or anything that I can tell. I looked at the holes on the nozzle but they don't appear to be clogged. The only thing I has handy to poke into the holes was a thumb tack so there is a slight chance it may be clogged. I don't know. The case looks to be out of alignment and there are some scuff marks evident. Leads me to think that maybe this beauty was dropped or bumped or ran into maybe. The machine measures approximately 15" x 13" x 12" and it weighs a good 45 pounds so postage is going to reflect that. For Sale is a La Cimbali M30 Dosatron. From 1996 I believe. When I received it it had been used in two coffee shops and was disassembled sitting in my friends garage. I work in the Coffee industry and hold several technical certifications for other espresso machine manufacturers so I decided to refurbish this machine. This is a 220v. 3 group machine. I started by stripping the machine down to the frame. I added some new frame paint and cleaned up the guts. Then a heavy descaling of the boiler and heat exchangers. The boiler was painted with a high heat resistant. High gloss paint to make the internals look much cleaner. All of the internal piping was removed and descaled. As I went I replaced every gasket or seal that there is including Boiler Cap Gasket, Heat Exchanger gaskets, Group head gaskets, and Gicleur o-rings(all prone to wear out ... moreand some are rather pricy and difficult to replace) For the exterior the original paint was sandblasted away then it got primer and repainted in the colors of the Italian Flag(in tribute to its country of origin) and keeping with the theme the portafilter handles were redone and wrapped in Italian Leather. Sooo. there it is. I have put a lot of work into it and I will be sad to see it go. It will come with 2 plug heads and several extra portafilters. Owners manual, and some extra odds and ends.
