The trailer has heavy duty double axles. It has electric brakes on the front axle. But they're disconnected. It has a 200 AMP Appleton Powerlite Receptacle. There is a built in fuel tank- the dimensions of tank are 26x39.5x8 inches. The muffler has an extension to direct the fumes. The trailer and generator have some rust, mostly surface. It's pretty dusty and could use a wipe! The dimensions ... moreof the trailer are 92 inches in height with muffler, 84 inches without muffler. The total length of the trailer including the tongue is 13.75 feet. 5.75 feet in width. The dimensions of the generator box are 60x89x36 inches. Here is a military surplus 10kw(military rating) generator with only 2.9 Hours on the meter! Not since a rebuild. But TOTAL. Manufactured Feb 1989 by Libby Corp. The intake and exhaust as well as the battery terminals were taped and sealed shut with military looking duct take and plastic. The fuel tank and crankcase were tagged as being empty and to fill before operating. Starts and runs like it should. Took a couple minutes to get the air out of the lines and smoked a little first few seconds on the first start. But after that no smoke other than normal black smoke when reving up to operating speed from idle. Set on 120/220 and gauge indicates these voltages. Showing about 40lbs oil pressure after it warmed up, actually pegged the gauge(50 psi) when cold. Powered by a 4 cylinder air cooled Onan diesel engine. The military rating of 10Kw ... moreis probably very conservative. They usually rate their equipment to run at a percentage of it's actual potential. Assume this machines original intended purpose was for flight line powering of aircraft hence the 400Hz, but you should be able to run any resistive load such as lights and heaters. Probably other ways to use it. And in case you missed it, it's powered by an Onan diesel engine showing 2.9 Hrs as of this posting. Here for sale is a very nice VINTAGE 1962 General Motors. GM Detroit Diesel 100 KW portable diesel generator in working condition The only circuit we have tested is the 120 volt. As we are not specialists in the higher voltage, and multiple phase electrical components, safety reasons here The Detroit Diesel engine. 6-71 with a blower, runs like a top, makes very good oil pressure, doesn't leak oil, but as all 6-71 did, and do, they have slight blow by, due to that they rev high Water temperature stays in the normal operating range. Doesn't go past 200, always in the 180-200 range This had been sitting in a building. Not used since 1991, all it needed to run is to turn on the tanks, put a battery in it, throw the manual switch, and it fired right up Everything containing to the engine of this unit is good. The only thing, not really ... moreengine related, but electrical, is the throttle control regulator, ramps the engine speed up and down, is wide open, doesn't ramp down What we did to run it at 1800 RPM's or less was tie off the solenoid to the chassis with a tie down strap so it stays in one position. Although the solenoid does get power, it just wont adjust itself Again. We are not experts in the electrical parts of these units The generator part of this unit. It is a Y1-4634 unit, from what we can read on the plate, it a 120-208-240-416-480 volt output, 100 amp 3 phase, 60 amp single phase, 60 amp 3 phase, and 20 amp single phase We did remove the lower mesh covers to inspect the brushes in the rear of the generator. And all appear to be in good condition, not frozen in their sleeves, and of good length This unit has 1081 hours on it. The hour meter in the tach says 8.7 hours, as we did discover the cable to the tach to have loosened up on the engine side, we re tightened it, now the tach works, as well as the hour meter The actual hour meter for the unit is electric.
