Vintage Strip Printer Photo Composing Machine Model 300 Works
Up for sale is a vintage Strip Printer. Photo Composing Machine. I am not exactly sure how old this machine is. This printer seems to be working, but I am not familiar with exactly how it works. The painted wooden box is in good condition with no major damage other than scratches and some wood chips and dents. Both lights working, red light stays on and white light flashes when you press the button. The timer control works by delaying the flash light less or more. It measures 16" x 10" x 11" tall to the bulb. I have only one concern with the workings of this item. There is some photo strip tape that is in the printer and torn on either side of entry and exit. I inserted the tape reel to show how it attaches for printing, but the tape is not actually threaded in. I am not sure how to get the tape to work it's way through ... morethe printer. This is a GraLab Darkroom Timer Model 300. It is in really great shape with only a minor scratch on the top and a few more around the mounting holes in the back. This timer does it all. There is an outlet for the enlarger. Which is only on when the timer is set to focus or the timer is running, and also an outlet for the safelight, which cuts off when the unit is set to focus or the timer is running. This aids in seeing the projected image as well as decreasing the amount of safelight exposure the paper is receiving. The timer is also perfect for timing development times of film or prints. There is a volume and off switch for the buzzer. The large numbers and hands glow in the dark and can be easily seen from across a room. I've tested it and it seems to work just fine; the buzzer is plenty loud, the timer works fine, and the dial glows eerily in the dark. It looks quite nice. Optimus model 930 lantern - vintage nickel plated - 300 cp - made in Sweden
A nice Optimus model 930 kerosene pressure lantern made in Sweden probably in the late 1950's. Nice original condition with minor wear to the nickel plating and some light dings on the top of the ventilator cap. But it looks great. Untested for actual burn operation, but it's complete with all parts. Excellent rugged build quality, has the original globe as well. An intersting and unusual vintage lantern for your collection. Displays very well. I will only ship within Canada and to the USA, using Canada Post expedited parcel service with insurance as the preferred method.
