The filter canister on the vacuum side has some holes in the bottom(see photo) I put some tape over the holes to seal it, and the unit pulled a vacuum without any problem. I'm also including a SAS 50' hose line($120 and about one year old) I upgraded this pump with the SAS handle($40) and a SAS flow through coupler($20) I'll also include the original coupler, but think the flow through coupler works better. Burks Pumps M-534 1hp pump motor with cast-iron collar and impeller housing. 15" long. 8" motor diameter, 8" collar diameter. Decent condition. The motor shows normal wear and scratches and has a bent vent slat. The collar has paintwear and rust. The impeller housing is heavily rusted. I couldn't figure out how to remove the impeller from this motor. There's no set screw and the motor shaft doesn't have a flat area for a spanner. I was able to remove the impeller cap and loosen the collar bolts. But the impeller itself is firmly attached. I'll leave it up to you to remove it. I ran the motor for about a minute. To me it seemed to run strong. It was a little noisy but nothing really jumped out at me as being out of the ordinary. Vintage Marlow pump motor with impeller and 25814 cast iron impeller housing. 13.5" long. 6" diameter. Unfortunately the motor tag is so worn that I can't read any of the specifications, sorry. Condition is old and rusty. There's a lot of rust on the impeller housing. The paint shows great patina; I don't know if that's a good thing or not when it comes to old electric motors. It looks like there's some(or maybe a lot of) corrosion under the motor's rear cap. I did plug this motor in. And it seemed to run strong. However, due to all the rust on the impeller, it was really noisy. So I unplugged it pretty quickly. I couldn't figure out how to remove the impeller or collar. Birkenbeul Pump Motor 5AP90S-4 3 Phase 1.32kW 1.77hp w/ coupler for Kracht
I have this 3 phase electric Birkenbeul pump motor for sale. It is a good running motor with the fan shroud removed. If you can knock out the dents in the shroud this would be a great motor for a great price. It comes with the coupler shown as well as the mounting plate on the face of the motor. It had a Kracht gear pump on the face of it and I used the pump for other purposes. So I no longer need the motor. If you have any questions please ask.

This pump was an emergency fire pump in a local manufacturing plant hence the low hours(297) on an original Cat 3406 with the mechanical pump. They installed a new system in the plant and this pump was too large thus they downsized. Since these mechanical engines are hard to find in original condition with low hours I purchased it to put in a boat. However, my current boat has not sold and I do not want two. Here's the details: Caterpillar 3406 rated 370HP at 1875 RPM. Engine is rated continuous duty/100% duty cycle. The engine has the original heat exchanger mounted on the front with dry exhaust so it's perfect for a work boat. Has 297 hours and is very clean.
