You are looking at a CHISHOLM MOORE One TON Manual Chain Hoist. This is a manual direct differential hoist which means you get mechanical advantage from the difference in circumference of the top chain pulleys. The differential on this is about 15:1 and the mechanical advantage is double that so 30:1. To lift 1000 lbs you need to pull with about 33 lbs of force. To get an inch of lift. You need to pull about 30 inches of chain. Shows less than normal signs of age and use(it has a little rust. But, nothing damaging) Stored in a"clean" and dry storage bin. Used infrequently in residential construction to set beams and pulled more than a few engines from trucks and cars. The best things about this Hoist is SAFETY. TRUST and ease of use. Up for sale is a 2 ton engine hoist. Leveler and 1 ton engine stand. The hoist folds up for easier storage(as shown in the photos) None of these items have been used but since they are out of the boxes and put together I am listing them as used. I bought them thinking I would get into restoring vehicles. My dreams exceeded reality. Found out it takes a lot of time, money and effort to restore a car. I had the later but not the first 2. The hoist sells for close to $300 brand new and even on sale goes for $250 or so. This item comes with the engine leveler as well. That part is $80 by itself! Engine stand. Honda powered. It's been sitting for a couple of years. Turned fuel valve on. Set choke, turned switch on, started on second pull. 4 HP GX-120 runs like a champ. Turned fuel valve off and let it run out so the float bowl is now drained. Honda motors never cease to amaze us. Everything on the power drive works as it should. One of the handles is missing the grip. Big deal. Good cable and brake rope. Muffler shield a little banged up. Still serves it's purpose. Some dust and a few scuffs and scratches. Expected for an item like this. This unit did see some work but it is actually in really ... morenice condition. The only things that might need some attention are the rollers on the platform. The guide rollers are all there and look to be in good shape. Could probably just use some grease. One of the small rollers(that support the load) is missing and a couple of others are bent up a little. Those would be easy to replace if you even require them. Besides a couple of possible rollers. All you need are some track sections. We do not have any of these track sections but they are available elsewhere. No instructions included but RGC still has them on their site.
