The locking bolt is about 5/8" across. The hex head on the screw jack part is about 3/4" across. Fully screwed out measures about 4-3/8" tall. Fully screwed in measures about 2-7/8" tall. Pat. 2121085" and on the other side stamped"Red Head 4303" One of the objects of this improved clamp is to protect the threads of the adjustable screw member from welding material when in use and when not in use. A further object is to provide an improved clamp of the character in which the threads of the screw will be completely housed at all times. It is well known that with the use of the ordinary C or U clamp in welding the solder or welding material often drops upon the thread of the clamping screw.
