Solid Hardwood Podium Lectern Foldout Sides With Teleprompter Mount & Rack
This is a used Podium used in a local court house. It is made of solid hardwood. Probably oak. It has fold out sides that extend the podium 3 times its size. There is a mount for a Teleprompter or a monitor in the center. If there is no monitor there is a fold out top that covers the mount with a top. The top slides out along with the shelf beneath it. There is also an equipment rack for mounting mixers. Amps etc. There is no manufacturers mark on this. It might even be custom made. But it is great craftsmanship and a very nice podium. I tried to cover as much as I can of the fine podium in the photos.

This is a Rare Vintage Metal Simulated Wood Oravisual Portable Folding Table Lectern Model#L303 with light made by Oravisual Company Inc. St. Petersburg Florida. It is used in very good condition with less than normal wear for use and age. It has very little scratching. It measures 21" x 18 1/2" x 3 3/4" when folded. It measures 21" wide x 15" deep x 13" from bottom to top lip(1/2" lip) of table. And 18" to top of light portion. It has two bars to lock sides in position and two scissor type hinges that also lock open. The light is 120 plug with button on podium to turn off and on. It is sturdy and all hinges work. My Dad bought this desk from Georgia Perimeter College about a month ago thinking to resell it and make a profit. But its been just sitting in his storage locker. He was going to sell it for $4000. But i called the maker of the desk and they sold it brand new to georgia perimeter in 2011 for around $4200. Clear Acrylic Podium Lectern Pulpit Panton Era Plexiglass Stand Lucite MCM
This auction is for one used clear acrylic podium. I purchased this podium from a local florist that was going out of business. Cosmetically. The clear panels do have scratches and wear but still look great(see pictures) The clear panels are held together by two metal supports at the top and near the bottom of the podium. It is a very unique design. I have yet to find another like it in my searches. It will be disassembled for safe shipping. The assembled dimensions of the base of the podium are 22" wide, 33.5" tall, and 16.5" deep. The top of the podium is 22.25" wide, 14" deep, and has a 2" lip on one side. Solid Lighted Brass and Brass Plated Podium Lectern Circa 1930's
This beautiful old lectern is made of brass. The extension pole is solid brass with the base being plated brass over a heavy steel plate in the base of the stand adding that extra stability. Stands at 53” tall to the top of the light cover with a 10“ diameter base and the lectern weighing a whopping 18 lbs. The writing surface is 14” x 9“ that is made of metal. The writing surface can be adjusted up or down from 39” to 63” off the floor. The nylon covered electrical cord has been disconnected from the light socket and I do not know that if it is re-connected if it will work. The nylon covered electrical cord is an indication of the era that the lectern came from. In the 1930's. A quicker installation of electrical lines was developed. Nonmetallic sheathed cable was born and it incorporated a rubberized fabric coating sheath. Much like ... moreknob and tube wiring, but a hot and neutral wire were run together in this one sheath. It also had its drawbacks due to the lack of a ground wire.
