In 2008 I got nervous of the economy going south and I saw an opportunity to open a road side coffee/hot dog stand. I know. Bad combination. I had always thought the spot was great, and it became available so I went for it. Turned out it was ok- not great, but more importantly my wife hated running the thing. In her words she felt couped up in a box. After only a few months we packed it up and sold everything, but the espresso machine that is. I had always wanted to keep it since it was such an awesome machine. We are in the middle of rennovating our kitchen and to be honest, there is just no good spot for it. So it has to go. I've kept it in tip top ... morecondition and expect no issues. It is barely broken in. I have included 2 portafilters and a tamper. I have attached a picture of the cart so you can get a feel for how nice we keep things. The machine always had filtered water and was only operated by my wife and myself. The unit is 120 Volts at 10 amps. It has a 6 liter 99.9% copper boiler with a 2400 Watt heating element. The unit can keep up with constant demand all day long. This ia a true professional unit and produces amazing espresso. This is a Piacere International coffee grinder espresso grinder. First there is a few things wrong with it. First As you can see in pictures it does not have lid for the compartment where the grinded coffee sits. The second thing is the adjust on what how you want the coffee grinded is stuck. Cant get it to turn. There is places on the machine were paint has came off. This is a used unit. BUT it does work. As you can see in pictures i did grind coffee through it. And it did great. According to the Technical Manual the error code is; Automat state Error in water level of steam boiler. I think there is a hose that may be blocked or not hooked up properly. I have pdf files of the technical manual. Programming functions and spare parts. This machine retailed for over $10,000 brand new and the updated model sells for around $12,000 currently. Wega Mini Espresso Cappuccino Coffee Commercial Single Group Machine 110 Volts
Ill start with what I know about the machine then go on to what I found online. The TEST. Ok I plugged it in(no water) toggled the switch on the right. nothing) then the switch on the left and both switched turned on and the light went green. The machine sounded like a pump came on then the right switched turned off and the light turned orange. From what I can guess that means theres no water. OK no brainer. Now for the rest of the machine. The outside is fairly good actually with this cool gold colored chrome finish to the body and the rest is stainless steel. It is missing the panel on the top. One knob and the coffee handle as you can clearly see. The inside is a little dirty but overall not that bad. Minimal rust for a 30 year old machine and it looks like it was kept up fairly well. Water tank looks good. Pressure tank looks ok as well ... morebut obviously is not tested by me. All hose/fittings look ok to me. What I found online. The machine was produced in the late 80's to early 90's. I think this one is a 1992) and was replaced by the Mini Nova machine.
