For auction is a vintage Heise gauge. Very large 17 3/4" diameter 4 1/2" deep. Made in Newtown. Conn. I was told this gauge came from an electrical power house in Peoria, IL. APPLICATIONS: The 5700 Series Gauge provides a visual means for checking the contents of a bulk tank and a means for checking the injection rate of a chemical metering pump. The gauge is designed to operate in low to medium pressure applications up to 500 psig. GAUGE FEATURES: The sight tube of the 5700 Series Level Gauge is totally protected. Three sides of the gauge are protected with a metal frame. While the face of the gauge is protected with a polycarbonate shield. This shield can be custom calibrated to read tank volume or any other calibration. Refer to the Product Specifications tab to see the assortment of standard shield options. For mounting purposes, a mounting lug is welded to the back of the gauge. The standard sight tube is glass; other sight tube materials are available, along with a wide option of o-ring seals. THE ONE MINUTE TEST: The injection rate is checked by closing a valve between the gauge and chemical storage tank and observing the change in fluid height in one minute. If the rate is not the one desired, make an adjustment to the chemical pump feed rate and conduct as many one minute tests as is necessary to set the chemical pump rate to the rate desired. Up for auction is a used US Gauge with a 5" face and a scale of 0- 400 psi. In a hard plastic case, with 3 mounting holes and standoff blocks, in 1/2" pipe thread. I'm not sure what this means but on the bottom of the dial face it says"SOLFRUNT" This gauge appears to be in nice used condition, however, I purchased several of these at an auction and I have no way of testing them so they are being sold in AS FOUND, UNTESTED CONDITION, NO RETURNS ACCEPTED.
