German Restaurant Ignores Posters, Creates Live Trout Aquarium Instead

Sure, any restaurant could fire up a bunch of posters and stick them up around town, but in an obvious example of the fast-spreading cultural influence of the Trout Underground a fit of creativity, German seafood restaurant Fisch Franke turned a poster frame into an aquarium - and populated it with live trout.



We're pretty sure we saw a few BWOs hatching out in one of the video's evening sequences, but that's not important now.

What's important is the conclusion any reasonable person would have to draw from this video:

The Trout Underground is - on a global basis - making trout cool.

Davem: All well and good…but is the guy at about :54 in the purple jacket with the dog…is he wearing a plastic bag on his head?Dave Think that's just a bit of a chrome dome with hair around the ears. Then again, it's Germany...

I'm surprised they could do this, but then I saw the disclaimer at the end. Just don't try to get a tourist fishing permit in Germany.

Turnip Truck Driver: Ratatouille Do you really expect us to believe that German trout ate a French streamer? I'm accusing you of lying to the Undergrounders (fly fishermen often do when it comes to patterns), and suggesting you used the famous Schnitzel streamer instead.

I took two out of this pool with a Ratatouille Streamer and they never got into the backing.
