Huge Vintage Estate Lot of Sewing Needles & Pins - Glass Heads - Safety Pins
This auction is for a lot of vintage& antique sewing needles/pins. I know absolutely nothing about sewing pins. So the photos will have to be a huge part of the description. I think all of the pins have glass heads except for the metal pins. Some of the glass pins are really gorgeous, especially in the light. The smaller shorter pins with the faux pearls& some of the others really need to be cleaned- I was not sure about the best way to clean them, so I will leave it up to the buyer. A couple of the gold tone safety pins have an etched design on them. There is also a rhinestone pin& a pin with an odd shaped red glass top that are really neat looking. This was an estate find- I was told that most of these are antique by a lady selling her grandmother's estate. These pins were stuck in a really dirty, dingy pin cushion that ... morehad been hand sewn by her grandmother. The pin cushion is heavy- I do not know what is in it, but it holds the pins really well. It is pictured in the last photo. It can probably be re-covered.
