Vintage Handmade Red Sequins,Black Beaded Horse Head Pin With Bridle & Reins
This pin is in the form of a horses head that has been handmade some many years ago in the past but has been well cared for.No missing sequins or beads that I could see. The head is covered with red sequins and the Bridle and Reins are made of tiny black seed beads. The pin on the back is made of a black felt like material. There is an old safety pin so the pin can be worn. There is some type of stuffing under the black felt like material but I don't know what was used. The pictures will show the hand stitching on this piece. The piece is about 3 7/8 inches from tip of the ears to the end of the nose. Carved lucite lobster that has red paint from behind. Unfornately. Some of the paint has worn off or been scratched. His body is carved lucite and he has 2 yellow eyes with black pupils. He is in fair condition but still a great addition to your collection so don't pass him up- he needs a new home where he will be appreciated. The cameo is held by a sterling silver frame marked STERLING. The pin is in excellent condition and functions properly. One of the most interesting features of this piece is the way it changes color. Under fluorescent light it's a purple color, under incandescent light or natural light it turns a blood red(see last picture) It mimics the colors of real human blood.
