Vintage Hurricane Milk Glass Lamp Shade. Dark Red,Yellow/Green Daisies,10X10X7 Up for sale is a Vintage"Milk Glass" Hurricane Lamp Shade with an Earth or Brown Red, Ivory and Yellow and Green Daisies. The dimensions of this shade are 10"X10"X7 inches and the circumference at its largest is 34 inches. At the top of this lamp is a ruffled flue that is 5.5"X5.5 inches. Although the yellow and green daisies may appear to be hand painted. I believe they were done by decoupage which was a popular method of decorating during the time frame that this type of shade was used. The Daisies are identical- not a single difference in all 5 of them. Each daisy is about 3.5 inches tall and they are only on part of the shade or about 10 inches- less than half of the way around. This would probably have only a minimal affect on the ... morevalue because it would clearly indicate the age of this piece. There was a period of time during the 1960's. That there was a style called"Early American. I think that this item came from that time period. The photos seem to show that this item is more red than it is. The color on this shade is more of a brown-red. Or rust color- also typical of the same time period. This lamp would be perfect if you had a base that was milk glass. The exterior appears to be more of an ivory. But the interior of this piece is bright white which would quite suitable for a lamp shade. If you are one of those people that loves the earthtone colors and there are a lot of people that do. Then this is something that would work well for you. You could probably even use this with a brown base as well. It would not even have to be glass- use it with a wood base- now. That would be very attractive. It is quite unique and I doubt you will find anything like it as it was hand crafted. I believe that we picked this up at an estate or garage sale and you never know the history behind it. This is a Antique Red Kerosene Lantern which stands 11" tall and has a hook for hanging and a handle for carrying. I do not know what it was used for. Seems to be in very good condition for it's age. Paint is faded some and a few minor scratches and dings. I am pretty sure some of those that look like paint chips is dried on mud because it is raised but I will leave that for the new owner to clean. This 1964 Gibson SG Junior in it's original and still BRILLIANT Cherry finish and SIGNED BY LES PAUL! The SG Junior features a slim. Lightweight mahogany body paired with a P-90 single coil pickup. Originally introduced as the lower budget. Student model Les Paul Jr, it was was renamed the"SG" model shortly after the new body style was introduced in 1961. It's stripped down mentality and cutting tone made it a favorite of early punk and rock musicians alike. The signature on the pick guard reads"Stu. Keep Playing! Les Paul" and is protected by a coat. Stu was my dad. It has a great playing neck with great frets. Great guitar to learn on. It's all original and 100% complete including a wammy bar. Vintage Aladdin William Boyd 1950 Hopalong Cassidy Red Metal Lunchbox
This charming red lunchbox brings back memories of a more gentle time. Hopalong Cassidy was a favorite back in the 50's and 60's and this lunch box has seen some good use. The lunch box has the kind of dings. Paint wear, scratches and surface rust inside and out expected on a well used lunch box of this age. It is in fine display condition.
