This listing is for a lot of 6 old wagon or pedal car wheels and tires and one axle. Two of the wheels are artillery style ones and they match. The other four are the flat disk style, one of those is missing it's tire. The 5 tires that are here are old and I don't know how well they'll hold up to any real use, some have some gaps in them, no guarantees. The artillery wheels appear to have a ball bearing system in them, the disc wheels look like they had an insert bushing, a couple of the inserts are missing and some holes are bent out or oblonged somewhat, but I think they could still be used with new bushings. Great old parts for restoring an old toy. Overall diameter of the wheels including tires is about 10 inches. Hed Stinger 6 tubulars with tires
Selling my HED Stinger 6 tubulars. I believe but cannot confirm that these are 2009s. Right around the time I quit racing due to illness. Limited miles on these, perhaps 500. These come glued with a Vittoria Pave rear and an apparently rare Conti Sprinter Gatorskin front(or so the LBS told me) Glued on last week by the same LBS. No skewers or cassette. Shimano compatible hub, although HED has swappable hubs for Campy. These wheels are deep. Great in cross winds, and are the new wider wheel bed for better cornering, comfort, and rolling resistance. Aero properties versus others is a subject of debate, but I do prefer these in crosswinds and they are as fast as the Zipp 404s I sold when I bought these. I also prefer the braking on these versus the Zipp 404s. My feeling of"oh my, I might not be able to stop even though I'm squeezing ... morethese as hard as I can" went away, and there is little to no pulsing. If you have ridden other carbon wheels, you know what I'm talking about. I recommend using carbon specific brake pads, swisstop yellow are what I've used. Note. I tried to get a picture of a superficial scratch I found on the wheels. I believe it's from the bike rack. The decals are in good but not perfect condition. But who rides HED for the decals? Collectors! Here is a nice Eldon Ferrari Berlinetta GTO on an Aurora solid-rivet chassis with Vincent wheels and tires. This is a step up from a runner. Looks nice but there are better ones out there. This has the Vincent wheels that really add to the looks. There are no splits in the posts, no cut wheel wells. It looks like one of the exhaust pipes had been repaired(outside on driver's side. Not too noticeable unless you really are looking for it. Chassis is a nice solid-rivet chassis, runs good, would be a great addition to anyone's collection. Tried to describe as accurately as possible. The small post between the vent and the drivers side window is separated at the roof line but is not very noticeable. The chassis ii a low-mileage open rivet chassis.
