I do know exactly where it is from.The Sterling Hill Mine near Franklin NJ. It was used to haul minerals, you can see many of their minerals on ebay from this mine. Exact age unknown but I believe it is between the 1920's and 1930's. Although everything I say about the Sterling Hill Mine is very accurate and true, it appears this cart was originally sold as a utility cart for any heavy use. I'm told it's nickname was a"Georgia Buggy" That includes,rocks,garden,concrete,cement, and any heavy utility thing you can think of. It was most popular for taking concrete up elevators to build skyscrapers in the 1920's and 30's. ... moreAs you can see, no signs this was ever used for concrete or cement. Make no mistake about it's construction of steel and iron, it is very strong and weighs 200 lbs. One wheel has a little tilt/wobble and needs a repair by the axle. I think just spaceing. The old 8 spoke tires say Goodyear Rib Thread, 2 ply rateing,4.00-18 Implement. This was found with the tires holding air fine, probably pretty average ware. Not bad tires. It was originally blue and would be a beautifull thing restored. I see a couple words on the cart that look like Petriella something and H.E.Tile but I do not know what they mean. Zipp 303 Carbon Tubular Road Wheelset with Conti Sprinter Tires 700 x 22mm
These are my barely used Zipp 303 Carbon Tubulars. As near as I can tell. They are 2010's(before the Firecrest branding) They have the dimpled surface and the wider rim. They are crazy light! Zipp lists them as 1150 grams for the set. I bought them used and had a mechanic look them over. He said they are in perfect shape. I then picked up some Conti Sprinter tubeless tires. I set them up with Clement Tubular sealant and put Problem Solvers valve extenders on them before using Continental carbon rim specific tubular glue to glue the tires onto the rims. I always used them with a Dura Ace 7900 cassette(not included) and carbon rim specific brake pads(also not included) I've had no issues with these wheels. I'm just into mountain biking much more now. Gary Fisher Co. was owned by Trek in 1996. The Gary Fisher models were nicer than the comparable T rek models- l ike Cadillac to Pontiac or Mercury to Ford. I thoroughly cleaned and detailed this bike. The brakes and derailleurs have been professionally adjusted. I mounted brand new Bontrager Connection Tires with new Presta valved tub es. The handling fee is skid based at $30.00 per skid, with the skid being 40” x 48” Skids oversized will be subject to an additional charge. Storage Policy. Unless prior arrangements have been approved in writing. All items are required to be removed or shipped within forty-five(45) days of receipt. Items left beyond the 45 day time allowed will be subject to storage fees beginning on the forty-sixth(46th) day of receipt. The storage fee is Twenty Dollars U.S. Currency($20.00) per day, per item. Items left beyond ninety(90) days will be considered abandoned and the customer forfeits the rights to the item or items. There will be no exceptions.
