The diameter measures 29-1/2" but I believe they call this a 30" table top. It was probably used on a plant stand or some type of table. The finish is flat or matte and it has signs of use over the years that gives it an aged patina look. It is in as found condition and I have not attempted to clean it. There are some rust colored marks as shown in the pictures. There is also some flaking here and there. The marks probably come from being exposed to water over the years. Antique Claw Foot Round Oak Pedestal 48 Inch Table This is a beautiful 48 Inch pedestal round oak table. The feet are 4 3 toed claw feet on castors with a solid(non split variety) fluted pedestal in gorgeous oak. The surface of this 48" oak veneer top is in excellent condition with no discoloration or major damage though there is a small chunk of veneer missing. It is not too noticeable and when you are using it you will probably have a table cloth so you wont even see it at all. The entire top might well be oak. They just chose to use quartersawn oak veneer rather than solid oak straight cut. The board that connects the two runners to the base has been replaced. The runners on the right side of the picture stick and do not open easily. The table is quite stable and i believe once you get the sliders working right you will have room ... morefor at LEAST 2 12" leaves, probably 3. With leaves it is a 7 foot long table. This antique table stand caught my eye. It is very uni que. I could not find what category to put it under. It is hand carved. Rough cut in some areas, like under the table top. Looks like a rooster/chicken bird of some sor t carved legs. Two of the screws look like the original. The other leg ha s a newer screw replaced in that one. I do not know the age. Looks as though it had a design in the center of table. Cannot quite make out what it was. The one tabl e leg needs to be tightened. Not much. I did not tighten. did not want to mess around with it. Primitive 59-1/2" Round Pine Dining Table w/ 30" Lazy Susan Hand Crafted 1930's
Estate Treasure. Up for auction is a fabulous primitive round pine dining table with a removable 30" lazy susan. It is 59-1/2" in diameter and will seat 8 very comfortably. This is a hand crafted table and it dates back to the 1930's. It is solid and very sturdy. There are some small spots of paint specks and some rub places in the finish but it adds to the character of the table. The top is a solid piece of pine 1-1/2" thick. The base is square and is made of oak. There are angled notches cut in the base and the boards attached underneath the top fit into these notches for a solid secure fit. It doesn't wobble at all even with such a heavy top.The base has tapered legs and there is plenty of overhang from the base legs to the outer edge of the table so the legs will not be in the way at all. The lazy susan is 30" ... morein diameter and is removable. I replaced the lazy susan turning bracket with a larger heavy duty type so it sits completely level and turns perfectly. This table is 30" high from the floor to the very top edge. I am listing this for local pick up only. If you prefer to have it shipped. You will be responsible for making all of the arrangements for packing and shipping and will also be responsible for all packing. Shipping, and insurance charges.
