Vintage 1968 Round Oak Brunch Table and Four Oak Rolling Dining Chairs
This auction is for a vintage Oak"Brunch Table" and four matching Oak rolling chairs. This is all in used condition. But details are listed below. The table's measurements are 43 3/4" across. 25" tall, and 34" long base feet. The table is in very good shape and is fairly stable. But does wobble a bit when pushed on. However, we do live in a very unsettled house and it could be our floor. It's worth mentioning, though. It's made of a beautiful oak, and is stamped on the underside as a"brunch table. It's a fairly short table, and features a very intricate, and possible hand carved, four leg system, which has been pictured. There is a cup ring on top of the table. Note: The oil lamp and deer antlers are not included with this listing. They are just a display piece. Also, the discoloration of the ... moretable in the picture where said pieces have been moved aside is from me being too impatient to properly dry off the table after noticing a smudge. There are no such streaks usually. There are four chairs included and each one is 17" floor to the seat. 28 1/2" floor to the top of the back, with a 22" wide x 18" deep seat. Two of them have no dates stamped on them. One is stamped May 3rd, 1968 and the last is stamped with April 9th, 1968. I don't know why they feature different dates. Each chair is in very good shape and roll very well. They do each squeak when rolling while sitting in them, but that should be able to be oiled up and eliminated. They appear to be upholstered with a leather like product. I'm not sure if it is genuine leather or not. I'll leave that at that. SHIPPING: We are not offering shipping on this item. Vintage Wood Round Top / Pedestal Base ROTATING TILT TOP TABLE
This is a Vintage Wood ROUND TOP TABLE. The table top tilts and rotates. The top is about 33 1/4 inches in diameter. Overall height of the table with the top level is about 28 1/2 inches. It has a three leg pedestal base with birdcage on top. The top was refinished at some point in the past. It has wear and scratches and can use a refinishing again. This may be a good time to refresh the whole table. The hinge that releases and retains the top functions properly. I do not know anything about its provenance or history as far as who constructed it. It came from the estate of an older English couple. I am told that they owned it for over 60 years. Vintage Chromcraft '68 Set Round Table 4 Chairs DM Mid-Century Cast Metal Bases
This is a great Danish Modern set which is all original and has no unsightly damage to any piece. You can take it home. Set it up and eat supper or play cards; or if you are really industrious you can do some cleaning to grooves in upholstery and get some formica cleaner at good hardware store to clean/polish your table top. There is nothing other than light normal wear to this set which is almost 50 years old- pretty remarkable considering table is a formica laminate on particle board base and chairs are upholstered in black naugahyde/pleather. The most impressive are its metal components, which are heavy cast metal/aluminum? bases on all the chairs and the table. The stained wood trim on table pedestal is also mighty good-looking Retro style and is undamaged by time or anything else. The pedestal riser on both the table and the chairs is ... morechromed metal, and most of them have varying degrees of some rust but no pitting. Semi-chrome polish should remedy most of this and if not, or if it matters; this can be touched up with chrome/metallic spray paint. The set came out of a lake house here and is perfect for cabin/vacation home just as it is. All formica is tight to wood and corners sharp. Very stable and flaws to note can be seen if you enlarge the pictures provided. Picture#10 shows faint 12" circular outline, not scorch or scratch- light tan color blends with faux marbled effect on the creamy white colored surface. There are a few black dots of pen ink scattered around, also not noticeable and there are light surface scratches from use. The chairs are complete, no tears and swivel 360 degrees smoothly, no rocking, no torn or ripped material. There are a few places in 2 chairs that look like a cigarette ash may have created a surface melt about the size of a pencil eraser head, shallow impressions but no holes. Item Description: Listed is an antique primitive wagon wheel dining/saloon table. A moonshiner conference table, probably produced btwn 1940's- late 60's. Would also work great as a center foyer table for a spacious cabin. Sturdy enough for + years of use ahead. But age related twiggles(a tiny wiggle) This primitive/folk-art piece was built with technique to problem solving; sensible vintage repairs and parts added many decades ago(see close up photos) Metal ring/bands of table on base as well as wheel ring looks to be gold painted maybe 15-20 years ago with a faint of red peaking from below outer gold layer.
