Gleaming chromium Punch bowl with a Saturn ring around it. The rolly polly glasses seem to orbit in space waiting for lift off. this is a a large punch bowl holding 20 plus cups of liquid. Great for a collector or that perfect party, syfy, 50s, bachelor, mad men, vintage, space age. the punch bowl is footed and stands tall. Nearly 15" there is a large 15" ladle with a clear Lucite handle, a lid that snaps firmly into place also has a Lucite knob. the Lucite is clear with no cracks or scratches. a removable aluminum serving tray has a planetary circular pattern hand crafted into it. they tray is about 15" across. there are 2 small dents in the punch bowl which neither detract or impact the serving piece, they are shown in the pictures, there is also a flat spot in the chrome rim, once again, not very noticeable but needs to ... morebe mentioned. although the set comes with 8 glasses. VICTORIAN HAND BLOWN & ENAMEL PITCHER W/ 6 MATCHING TUMBER GLASSES RUFFLED TOP
Beautiful Victorian mold blown pitcher with 6 matching tumblers. This set is really nice. Very nice clear glass. The pitcher is 9.25" high and 6" across top with spout. The top is a gorgeous ruffled design and has an applied handle. There are no chips or cracks. Etc. There are some air bubbles, etc. The hand enameling is beautiful with white, blue, green and orange. Also has gold accents in the design as well as band around middle and gold at top. There is a some wear to the gold in the design, probably from many years of washing. The other gold seems pretty good, a little wear to the lip. The main body of the pitcher has a slight paneled design as do the tumblers. There are six in very nice shape. These have the colors of white blue& green enameled on them. There is gold around the top. Two of them have alot of wear to that ... moregold the rest are average or better. Each glass is tapered, wider at top. Measures 3 7/8" high, top opening is 2.75" and bottom is about 2" Nice and clean& clear, no chips. One has a factory flaw, see last photo. This is a rough area at the rim. It has the gold painted over it and has some very tiny black specks in it. Appears to have happened in the firing process. INTERESTING SET 6 SHERBERT GLASSES& MATCHING SAUCERS W/ SILVER OVERLAY Presented is a set of 6 sherbert glasses& 6 matching saucers with silver overlay/silver deposit. The set is American made from the early 1900's. The overlay/deposit is done in a simple but elegant design. The glasses stand firmly on the saucers. The set is unmarked. The glasses and saucers have no major chips or cracks to the glass. One glass has a dimple and there are some air bubbles throughout the set that are natural to the manufacture of the pieces. All of the glasses have light wear to the the overly on the rim. One has more significant wear with approximately an inch of the rim missing overlay in addition to two petals of the flower below. One glass has significant wear to the overlay ... moreon the base. The plates have light wear to the overlay. Three of the plates have slightly more significant wear near the center of the overlay. Surprisingly, these defects don't detract greatly from the appeal of the set. The glasses are approximately 2 3/4 inches tall. The plates are approximately 5 1/4 inches in diameter.
