The saw blade filer tool would appear to be in fair to average overall working condition- by that I mean- I do not see any obvious cracks/ breaks and/or repairs. Outside of a real quick power wash- you are seeing the tool"absolutely" just the way we found it. Will need cleaning. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Now having said that- Sorry- but we really don't have any knowledge concerning this machine- All I can tell you is what I was"told" that being the machine worked when last used which was has been awhile- and that when I ran the tool for a few minutes- it seemed to run ok- by that I mean all the mechanisms seemed to be moving freely and smoothly. But once more- I have absolutely no knowledge of these machines. The tool as pictured weighs right at 100 lbs! Will have to be shipped in at least 2 packages because of the weight. Foley Belsaw 200 Saw Filer With Carriers, ( Will Ship ) Nice Shape
The filer is in good shape. I installed a new drive wheel on the motor and it comes with 3 saw carriers, back saws, straight and breasted saws. There is also a original manual. I have never filed a saw with this filer. It runs well and that's all I know, there is no warranty and is being sold as is with no returns, it weights 120 pounds and shipping is costly. Here's a nice set of machinery for sharpening hand saws. The model 387 file sharpener is in great shape and barely looks used. It comes with 2-3 handfuls of files and several saw jigs. PLUS PLUSS! an extra filing machine(near complete) comes with it so that takes care of any parts problems The retoother looks to be in good shape as well. The motors in both tools run very quiet. A hand saw set and edge file are included. As well. This set sells as a whole. Shipping will have to be freight due to size& shape so this is listed as local pickup. Parting out Foley Belsaw 368 Automatic unit.
I have powered up the unit. But I cannot get it to work. If you need parts for the 368 automatic part of the 367, email me. Not included is the 367 grinder which it is attached to. And the cast iron base plate the automatic unit attaches to. Unless you have the cast iron grommets that hold the control mechanism for the 367.If you ahve them and are willing to make a swap let me know, to make sure we are both on the same page. Presently. The base for the automatic unit is one, and if I sell it, I would have nothing to hold the control mechanism. Presently there is no shipping, as the costs are exorbitant. Lot 3) Saw Sharpener. Foley, Belsaw Model 1029. Assessory Pcs. Hone Several years ago my husband bought this group of items. Which are used to sharpen saw blades, from an estate sale. His intention was to sharpen blades for some extra income. Well, that never happened so now we want to try and find someone out there who might be interested in these pieces. I believe that there are actually 3 different sharpening tools, all of which are on the older side, but perhaps they are still very usable to sharpen blades. I have included lots of pictures in hopes that you can see everything clearly. Please note that these pieces are dusty/dirty and need a little cleaning(all dust/dirt is free) All of the motors do run. There are no instruction books. The sharpener that is on the stand is probably the newest one. It is a Belsaw Machinery Co. Model 1029 ... moresharpener. It has a totally enclosed ball bearing split phase motor; 115 volts, 60 Hertz, 6.2 AMPS, 3580 idle RPM, Delco Pdts. Co. No. C3559. The shelf under the stand has some flaking paint and the bottoms of several of the legs are rusty. The next sharpener was manufactured by Foley. I know nothing about it but there are numerous pictures for you to look at. It has some rust and the light has come apart. The last sharpener is the one with the wooden knob that is hand cranked. That’s all that I can tell you about it. There are also numerous assessor items. Which are shown. Included are 25 files(somewhat rusty) and 27 stones. Unfortunately we found a mouse nest in the bucket that the stones were in so they have a mousy odor. Can they be washed? My husband said probably not but he did comment that the stones were not all that good. You can take them with you or leave them here if you don’t want them. Last of all is a hone attached to a motor along with a couple of jars of grit/sand. Because these items are quite heavy it will be necessary for you to pick them up here at our house in Beaman. Iowa. They will work with saws that have 4, 4 1/2, 5, 5 1/2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13 points per inch on the blade. The Foley documentation I've seen says the numbers refer to points per inch and not teeth per inch but I could be wrong on this point. If you are looking for these then you know how they work better than I do. They are in excellent condition, all the teeth have excellent grab. They are 35 inches long. Up for sale is a Foley-Belsaw model 387 auto saw filer in very good to excellent condition and has many extra parts included. The sharpener has spent all of its life hidden away in a garage and well taken care of. It has very little use on it and will function right out of the box. Included with the sharpener is a handful of guide bars and the original owners manual. Even the original Foley light is included and in great condition The only spots of damage on the sharpener is around the flywheel hand crank where the sheet metal was bent and the paint flaked away. Some of the exposed metal components have some very slight surface rust but it comes off with some WD 40 and steel wool The original friction drive wheel had rotted away from years of heat and not being used so I contacted Foley and ordered a brand new wheel that runs the machine ... morelike new If you have any questions about the machine. It turns on very quietly and runs smoothly. The infeed and outfeed rollers are a bit worn but they still work well. The cutters are sharp and yield a smooth cut on the board. Up for auction is a foley belsaw model 2381074 coating tank. This is part of a lot purchased from a sharpening business. I plugged this item in and it started melting whatever the coating material is that is left in the tank. It is missing a tiny Allen screw for the temperature adjustment knob. That was all I could find wrong with it. Oh and it's dirty. Also just found the original paperwork for it in the pile of manuals we received. See pic.
