The case has a snap closure at the top and a tiny handle. It has a leather tag or sticker across the front that has the town of Englewood. Colorado stamped on it in gold. It's also marked"Handmade in Canada" on the bottom and has faux stitching along the seams. Inside, the kit has three spools of thread, a plastic vile with buttons and a red plastic thimble, a small tape measure and a pack of Safeway needles. The needles were made in West Germany. WWII Luftwaffe Brown Leather Flying helmet with comms Lkp-1010?
I have finally gotten into a few boxes that I literally haven't opened in 30 years. I rediscovered two Luftwaffe flying helmets that I purchased separately in the early 1980s. You are viewing a dark brown leather flying helmet with communications gear and throat mics. This helmet appears to have been made by Siemens and it has a heavy lining(Winter weight) The helmet is used and there is soiling. I must confess that I am not sure how the throat mics attach and I think there may be a strap missing. Also think one of the buckles is missing. Helmet is equipped with earphones and the plug for the headset is present. I am no expert on German flying gear but as stated. South Korea K-M4 Bayonet with Black Grip and a Brown Leather Sheath Camillus, US
Up for auction is a very nice South Korea K-M4 Bayonet. This bayonet is all black and total length is just over 11.5" The blade measures 6.75" There are a few marks along the middle of the blade and on edges, from sharpening, usage or a metal type sheath. The guard of the bayonet has"K-M4" across the top of it. On the underside there is a 5 point single line star in a circle. The latch on the back of the bayonet is fully functional. The brown leather sheath(not sure if original for bayonet) is marked with imprint on back CAMILLUS USA. It has some age/ wear to it. But leather is great condition and rivets are tight. These pretty reins are a rich, dark brown in color with slightly contrasting stitching. They have more prominent lacing for additional grip. These reins have been used but are in very good shape with just the typical signs of use and wear associated with being broken in, the worst of which is that one of the bottom keepers at the bit end has been overstretched from being caught at the edge where it connects to the stitching(see closeups)its intact for now, but this keeper might pull loose eventually because of this. Otherwise, just the usual stuff J These are good quality reins which are very well-made from quite thick and super durable yet nicely flexible leather that has a soft finish to it and is complimented by lovely craftsmanship.
