Up for auction is this vintage. Used, Speedway Type 69 working electric drill. It is marked 115 V- AC-DC and was manufactured in Cicero, Illinois. The original cord on it, was spliced into, to make for a longer cord. The original cord is approximately 6 feet and the spliced on cord is an additional 12 feet, for a total length of the cord at 18 feet. Other than the cord being spliced, this drill is in excellent working condition, considering it's close to 65 years old. It has a"stainless steel" finish(I put that in quotes, because I'm not sure if it's truly stainless steel) with dark blue on the body. The dial and glass are excellent.The rubber coating on the steel handle is in very good condition. The sides of the case wear the handle is attached show some wear/scuffing from the handle rotating. I do not think that the leads included are original. They are Bueler Electric clips with 2 nails(removable) clipped to the end. They are red and black twisted strand wire. The 3 front knobs all work well. I have taken pictures of the battery compartment areas that look quite clean. I will send with AA batteries installed because it holds the retaining battery plates in position better. I played a whole"Tom T Hall" 8 track tape. Sound was very good, the track change button worked, the auto-change between tracks worked as expected. The AM FM radio works. As you can see. It is a clam shell body, splits in two so that both speakers are pointing which ever way you would like. The right and left speaker each have their own volume control. One side of the white of the white body does show some yellowing. Battery compartment does have some tarnish. I cleaned it a bit, put in batteries(not included) Radio worked- I didn't check the 8 track but there really isn't any reason that wouldn't work under DC power as well. The carry handle comes off. If you ... morewish to not have it sticking up. I was not able to test the recording side of the 8 track. I do not have a blank tape.
