Cleaning out my musical closet to fund a guitar purchase! Here is a used matched pair of Russian SED Winged'C' 6L6s that I had in an old amp that I sold not too long after I put these in. I never drove the amp hard to begin with and it was always in a road case so I predict good life still in these. They would be an excellent back-up for someone to carry on the road that uses these type of power tubes. I'll pack them securely in a mesa tube box and ship securely. Sale is final. 1963 Fender Showman Blonde Blackface Guitar Amplifier Head Rare 7355 Power Tubes
Up for sale. An exceedingly rare Fender Showman"Pre-CBS" Blonde Piggyback head with original 7355 power tubes. This amp is serial#A00209 and is notable for the original General Electric quad of 7355 power tubes as well as the lack of a Mids knob, which was introduced a few hundred units later on this model. This head is from the very first Blackface Showman production run and has the sweetest tone, like a Bandmaster with more headroom and sweeter midrange, yet the tightness and growl you'd expect from a Bassman without the ear splitting volume of the tranditional 6L6 equipped Showman. After tracing this exact head back to the tech who serviced it in the 1980s(the only time this head has been serviced. As it has needed very little) we were told that this tech spoke directly to one of Fender's technicians from the early 60s ... morewho explained Leo Fender's inability to find huge stock of quality 6L6 quads between 1963-64. Thus they very briefly experimented with three different variants of the 6L6, the rarest of which being the 7355 tube which paradoxically is the one that even made it as far as the advertisements in the 1963 Fender catalog. Not only does the 7355 have a different pin-out and less output than a 6L6, it's originality in this head is also backed up by the very clean original tube chart, clearly displaying the 7355 as the output tube of choice. In addition to the original 7355 quad of General Electric tubes. All of the preamp valves appear to be original as well, with a host of RCA, Tung Sol and Amperex 7025 and 12AT7 tubes. This amp has been completely gone over by a qualified tech, and the only non original parts are three filter caps and a new vibrato bulb. The original parts are included and the new filter caps have been fitted*inside* the original cardboard wrappers for a clean and consistent vintage look. This is a used Audio Electronic Supply SE-1 Signature Power Amplifier. The amp was built from a kit. And includes HEXFRED diode upgrade, Vitamin Q oil coupling capacitor upgrade and choke loaded power supply. This amp runs on 2A3 and 300B output tubes. It can also use 45s with a minor modification. The input and driver stages use three total 6SN7s. This amp is in very good condition and is functioning perfectly, but is being sold AS IS. There is a minor cosmetic blemish behind the front input tube, where three 1/4 inch holes have been patched following removal of a modification-see detail photograph. I am selling this amp without tubes. Please note that shipping is included-this amp weighs like 50 pounds boxed up, so I am paying substantially for shipping.

You are bidding on one Executone power amp with 6L6GC tubes in the output stage. It was used in a PA system setup. Has a 70 volt output. There is also a 20 volt and 3.5 volt output. The 20 volt tap is 16 ohms. The amp works. Tested by driving an FM tuner hooked up to it. There is a hum so possibly a filter cap replacement is needed? This is in extremely nice condition for it's age. It almost looks unused. It will need a plate cap with the suppressor. 2 chimneys and a pair of tubes. It will also need a high voltage supply. I was going to keep and finish putting it back together but do not do enough HF operating to justify the effort. Time to go to someone who will put it back on the air. The cabinet is very nice with a few minor scratches that could be touched up quite easily. The front panel is very nice if not perfect. The tubes include:2- GE 6V6GT power tubes. 3- Sylvania 6SL7 preamp and phase inverter, 1- Ken Rad 6sc7 preamp and 1- Sylvania Jan(military) 5y3 rectifier. It has Aerovox, Pyramid and Mallory Caps.It has preamp in and out, radio and phono in and a AC aux outlet. The Capacitors look bad but there is very little hum. I patched my guitar to the RCA input and it works and sounds good although it is not as loud as it should be. It probably needs tubes and the pots cleaned. And have decided to start to sell off some of my vintage collection. This fine example comes with an set of quad RCA REALISTIC LIFETIME( made in japan)EL-34 power tubes, two EICO 6SN7's, and a single EICO 12AX7. The amplifier was brought up to voltage slowly with a variac and listened to for about an hour and works well, but does have a buzz on one side, most likely a old cap will need replacing. This amplifier is very powerful and works well. However, please ask me any questions before you buy. Dynaco Stereo ST-70 Power Amplifier Fully Restored - Mullard* output tubes (#2)
An amazing classic power amp. Rated at 35 Watts per channel. This amp will drive the most stubborn speaker system. I was using it on my Martin Logan Quest electrostatics in a bi-amp configuration and it produced amazingly clear and natural sound. Don't let the apparent low watt output deceive you. 99.9% of all music will reach deafening levels of sound at only 7-8 watts of continuous power. I have two of these amps(also for sale at another auction) that I was using with my other Martin Logans Quest electrostatics in a bi-amp configuration as well. Silky smooth sound and stage presence on most all vinyl recordings. So when you close your eyes, you can actually pinpoint the individual instruments and vocalist location. I owned these amps for a few decades and had taken care of them as if they were my kids. You can tell by the near perfect ... moreand almost flawless chassis. I don't belong to the theory that if it's new. It must be better. Many convert the high voltage rectifier tube to silicon diodes eliminating the 5AR4(GZ34) tube, thinking it will improve performance. The only thing this"improvement" does is shorten the life of the output tubes. It is a known fact that"cathode stripping" is a real phenomena with solid state diodes in a configuration using tubes for the output stage. This is a quote from a known authority: What is of concern is the voltage the B+ hits the output tubes before the tubes warm up and before they start drawing current. You must also make sure your filter caps can handle that surge. Ofter 2 or 3 times the rated voltage of these caps. The slow warm up of the 5AR4 was very important because the B+ is applied to the output tubes at the same warmup period as the rectifier tube. Obviously this doesn't apply to the filament power supply since it's only purpose is to provide DC to the tube filaments. Large Power Transformer for SE stereo Tube Amplifier (Transmtting tubes)
This is a quite large power transformer suitable for a good-sized stereo tube amp. It has a 795 ct secondary and a second 640 Volt high voltage winding with no center tap. 40 ohms dc resistance. Use the second winding with a bridge rectifier for ~800 Volts dc which is suitable for many high power transmitting tubes. Then you could use the other HV winding for the rest of the amp. A bridge can consist of two SS diodes and a rectifier tube if you feel that tube rectifiers improve the sound. It is in excellent condition and weighs in at 12 lbs. The core size is 3 3/4 x 4 1/2 inches and 2 3/4 inches thick. Below is the winding information; the sketch will be sent along with the transformer and if you aren't terribly confident with your own technical expertise I can attach labels identifying the winding leads. All secondary volts are measured ... moreunloaded. The winding resistances are included so you can go to Duncan's PSU Designer program and quickly design your own power supply. Or. If this is not practical I have a convenient power transformer test jig where I can quickly attach the transformer leads, set the configuration(cap input, choke input, etc, apply the desired load current, insert the desired rectifier tube then measure the output voltage at the specified load current. This transformer should be good for several hundred ma. It has two 5 volt filament winding which implies that it was originally used with two rectifier tubes, probably 5U4s. Primary is 120 volts. Primary resistance is 0.68 ohms. High voltage secondary- 795 volts center tapped. Resistance is 46 ohms total. This transformer has a very thick copper shorting strap around the core to short out stray magnetic fields that might otherwise present hum problems especially with amps that use inter-stage or input transformers, Filament windings- one 6.6 volt(6.3 volts loaded) One 12.6 volt with tap. I'm a retired EE with tube amps and speakers as a hobby for more than fifty years so you can reckon that my assessment of electronic things in genera

Very good condition. I replaced the tubes. Tested it out, and then it sat as I moved to my fathers house and my gear stayed at my house. The boxes that the new tubes came in are shown in the last picture for a reference. The boxes are not included in the auction. Never gigged with while I owned it. I do not know its past history but it appears to be pretty clean compared to many other rack amps I have seen. Does have a few blemishes on the face. Not scratches but some discolorations. Works great. Only selling because I am downsizing all my gear due to impending divorce. Thanks for looking.

RCA AP 754 Power Supply/Amplifier for Radiola, 1927, Good Tubes
You are bidding on an RCA Model AP 754 power supply amplifier for a 1927 Radiola 30A receiver. The tubes it uses are a pair of UX 281(CX 381) rectifiers. A UV 876 ballast, and a type UX 171-A(CX 371-A) output. The unit is untested, but the tubes are good. It measures roughly 21 by 6 1/2 inches at the base, and is 7 inches tall to the tops of the 281 tubes. The chimney for the 876 adds another 3 inches. It should be a good example of a true single ended triode output amplifier, and since it is RCA, a schematic is readily available to locate the correct input, or make modifications. KRIS MACH 3B Ham Radio Linear Amplifier, 6JG6 & 2x 6QL6 Beam Power Tubes, Works
This listing is for a vintage KRIS MACH 3B Ham Radio Amplifier! The amp features a 6JG6 driving 2x 6QL6 beam power tubes. A copy of the user manual with schematic can be downloaded here: The amplifier has been TESTED. The unit powers on fine. The tubes test strong. Free of leaks/shorts and fire up just fine. We tested transmission with a Ham and it was received by another just fine without increase in background noise. I inspected the transistors and they appear to heat properly, and I do not see any burned out resistors. The switches and knobs all function, one knob is missing the silver accent as shown. The only thing of note is that the fan is disconnected. Sorry, there are none of the original screws for the top of the cover. Here you are looking to a very rare Stereo Tube power amp with separated Stereo tube pre-amp made by CARAD. CARAD is a Belgium manufactor that made during the 1950'and 1960's a lot of radios.Taperecorders,tuners and amplifiers. This Stereo Tube Amplifier set is made in the 1960's and was there last version before the switch over to solid state. Still in original and unmodified factory condition. Still good working.Even with the original capasitors, because the use the famous beige Mullard- Philips capasitors who never leak! These amps are still handmade and use the piont to point soldering. This set is in a Near Mint condition. And this is quit difficult to find. Because the metal cabinet ... moreare probe for oxidation marks. But not on this one. I had them play for severall hours. And there are sounding great. Pre-amp has 4 x ECC 83(12AX7) Lot of connections on the back. With the typical europeen DIN connectors, but I deliver a DIN versus RCA(cinch) connectors and adaptor cables.see picture) The poweramp has 2 x ECC 83 + 4 x EL 84. Commes with speaker cables and all the other connection cables DIN versus RCA. These amp's works on 110. 220 and 240 volts. All tubes are tested ok! Quit heavy! Pair 833 power vacuum tubes for Radio transmitter or audio amplifier
This is a nice pair of 833 power tubes. Both tubes look very nice. The numbers are worn off on both tubes. One tube has part of a National logo on the side but most is worn off. That tube is marked"made in China" on the bottom. The other tube has no markings or numbers visible. I have tested the filament on both tubes and they test good. Other than that they are not tested. These can be used in a radio transmitter or can also be used in a audio amplifier. These can be returned for a refund if not happy.

Audio Research D90 This William Z. Johnson designed power amplifier is considered an absolute classic. Fewer and fewer are available. And none in the condition of this one. This is the first of the Audio Research"new generation" power amplifiers that were voiced to sound less like the lush tubes of the Dynaco persuasion. The Audio Research is clearer, less"tube-sounding" but retains the expansive soundstage and amazing imaging that are typical of tubed power amplifiers. The previous owner used this amplifier with Martin Logan electrostats, and the combination sounded absolutely amazing. This power amp was owned by a technician who kept it in"like new" condition. The amp works perfectly. Is properly biased, and runs coolly and quietly. The amp puts out 90 watts into 4, 8, or 16 ohms. In addition to the complete ... moreand functioning power amplifier. This auction also includes a complete& matched set of eight GE brand output tubes(the tubes in the amp are Sovtek) Four other spare tubes(driver stage? are also included. The original owner's manual is included as is the original bill of sale, and the owner's service notes including the schematic for the amp. The tubes in the chassis will be removed& individually marked before packing so that each tube will go back into its specific socket. The chassis will be double boxed and insured at the UPS store.
