WWII Signal Corps. U.S. ARMY Chest CH-79-A Order No. 931-WFSCPD-42 Made by WILCOX-GAY CORPORATION, Charlotte, Michigan. Used to store spare parts for Transmitter and Receiver Crystals. Great condition: no rust or corrosion. The original paint shows very little signs of use! It's 6 drawers still have their original labels. It measures 10 1/2" wide, 8 1/2" deep and 8 1/2" tall and weights 14 lbs. See photo's for condition and features. The latches, hinges, lid and handle all work like new. Antique Liberty Twelve Aircraft Engine Book, 1918 WWI US Army Signal Corps, old
This is an old softcover book on maintaining the Liberty Twelve aircraft engine. It is 8 1/2 in x 5 5/8 inches. The cover title is Liberty Twelve Aircraft Engine. And it was published by the Equipment Division Signal Corps, U.S.A. This antique book is not dated, but the Liberty Twelve was designed in 1917 and produced in 1918 for WWI. The title page inside the book has a different title: Instructions for the Installation, Inspection and Maintenance of the U.S.A. Standardized Aircraft Engine. The book has nice illustrations and 127 pages of information about maintaining the engine. This copy is complete, but worn. The binding near the top of the pages is loose for many of the sections. The book has been folded so there are creases down the center of the covers. There are about 12 pages with tears, most about 1/4 inch long, but 3 or 4 are longer, ... morelarger tears. Some of the pages have dark marks and staining, though non of it interferes with the ability to read the text or see the illustrations.

I am leaving in Saturday for 6 month medical mission and this will no longer be relisted. If anyone wants this it must be purchased by Saturday morning or it will be removed. Thank you. Physically is in pristine condition. Unable to test functionality. I have opened and checked components with DVM and they are ok. Unable to test all of the components though. I sure would like to have some of those B-17 flyers test this. The outside and inside are very clean and the components test good as far as a DMV can test. The large power resister is in new condition. All dials and switches operates very smoothly and lettering is clear. I could not put all of the pictures in and if you need to see more please ask. You can see from the pictures the inside is clean and the outside is near new. All of the covers. Sockets and tubes all are there. It was originally given in a box that was marked and no longer exists. The owner worked at the factory and this was his assigned unit. The feint along the outer door panels remain intact and pristine. There is no other unit like this in the known world. This is the history that has been relayed to me by the boss. I can see thee unit looks exactly what he has described. I have it in my hands now and everything he said is valid. I just want this sold and off my list. If you see the value please make an offer that he will not refuse and in will be done with this one. I work at an FAA repair station and this is the best piece I have ever seen. The 4 flags have wood poles and show light water marks from being stored away these past 69 years. I'm no expert on military items I found this at an estate sale and he served in the Army during WW II. this was just one of the many items that they saved and stored in a steamer trunk in the attic. WW2 US Army Signal Corps Radio Transmitter (BC 604 DM) Federal Telephone...RARE!
You will receive the transmitter that is pictured. It seems to be very rare, cause I can't find another one with the exact model number! I picked it up at an estate sale on 7/11/14, and before that, have never seen one, the guy said that this was originally used on a tank. I don't know much about it. Here is what I know: it weighs like 64 pounds, measures 18"x12"x9" has tons of buttons and switches, most appear to be intact along with the rest of the piece, it also had years of dust on it, so I wiped it down with a very slightly damp rag just to get some dust off to read the tags and other things but it is still dirty and original, I didn't have much water on the rag, definetely not enough to have any water drip in the piece. It will actually cost me a few more dollars than what it is charging you. With this being said. I can not accept returns on this piece, it is AS IS. But by looking at it, I think it has about a 90% chance of working but it definitely has it's share of aging, like paint coming off on the back, little rust(but not much) and it could be missing some pieces, I don't know, that is up to you to decide. Other Information: This is an original J-38 US Army Signal corps Key Telegraph. The base plate measures 3" x 4 3/4" and the box 3 1/4" x 1 3/4" x 6 1/4" This J-38 came with the other J-38 I have listed with it's original box which lists the maker as The American Radio Hardware Co. This unit does not come with a box. The Signal Corps J-38 was a Morse Code training key. Included with various Army school systems during World War Two. The key was produced in huge numbers ... morein the 1940s and later. Five were included in the AN/GGQ-1 code practice set; twenty-two J-38 keys were included with the World War Two EE-81 school system; and forty-four with the EE-95-F system. As used in the larger school systems. Each student's key was screwed to the table, and was wired into the system with two wires connected to the"LINE" terminals. The headphones connected to the"TEL" terminals. The staycord of the headphone cable was tied to the small eyescrew, to avoid strain on the headphone wires. With his circuit closer closed, the student could listen to the practice code generated over the line. To practice sending, the student would open his key's circuit closer. WWII U.S. Army Signal Corps Officer's Complete Uniform Pinks & Greens
Up for bid is a Very Nice WWII U.S. Army Signal Corps Officer's Complete Uniform. It includes an Ike Jacket. Pink Pants, Chocolate Shirt, Tie, Belt and Overseas Cap. The Ike Jacket does not have a size tag. It appears that it may be custom made. I t has a Pair of Officer US and Signal Corps Collar Insignia. A Pair of Pinback Captains Bars, Bullion Overseas Bars and a U.S. Army Airways Communications System Shoulder Patch. The Ike Jacket measures 17 1/4 inches across from shoulder to shoulder. 23 1/2 inches from the shoulder seam to the bottom of the cuff, 33 inch waist with the belt closed, 40 inch chest(Armpit to Armpit) and is 17 1/4 inches long from the collar seam to the bottom of the Jacket. The buttons are all intact. The Pink Pants measure 32 inches at the waist and have a 31 inch inseam and a 1 1/2 inch hem that could be let out. ... moreThey have a Talon Zipper which works well and a couple of stain spots that may come out with a cleaning but I will leave that up to you. It measures 15 1/2 inches at the neck, from Shoulder to Shoulder 17 3/4 inches, lying flat the Chest measures 46 inches(from armpit to armpit) Waist is 42 inches, from the shoulder to the bottom of the sleeve is 23 3/4 inches and from the neck to the bottom of the shirt it is 30 1/4 inches long. The buttons are all intact. The shirt does have two very small holes under the sleeve that I almost missed. It has a Belt. The Tie is Khaki. The Officer's Overseas Cap is a size 7 1/8. Has a pinback Captains Bar and is dated November 29, 1944. The sweatband is all intact. The Uniform is in Very Good Condition for being 70 plus years old. The pictures say it all. Up for auction is a 1946 dated WWII U.S. Army/RAF Field Strength Meter made by Bendix Radio. It is being sold untested because I don't know how to test it. You are buying it the way I bought it. The units interior is clean and in good condition with only black tape around two wires. All other wiring is original and untouched. The single vacuum tube is present.The exterior is in overall good condition with minor paint spots missing and very small spots of rust.The antenna is in perfect condition. Instead of the usual broken, bent, or missing. I don’t know anything about this equipment other than what I can find on the web and read off of the labels. This item was found at a local estate sale; The family said he was an avid Ham radio operator and electronics tinkerer. Below is what I have learned about this piece. I-95-AM- 110S/20 Field ... moreStrength Meter Field Strength Meter I-95-AM is an uncalibrated vacuum tube voltmeter designed to indicate the relative field strength and frequency of the radiation from the antenna of an SCR-522 and SCR-542. The instrument may also be used to indicate modulation of the carrier. The field strength meter consists of a case on which the front panel and rear cover are mounted. A telescopic antenna and all the electrical components(except the batteries are mounted on the front panel. As with most of the equipment associated with the SCR-522 this unit has two nationalities of nomenclature tags. An interesting fact pertaining to these sets is that they were intended as part of the Lend-Lease Program we(the USA) supplied equipment(i.e. war materials) to the allies without actually selling it and thus helped to maintain the fiction of our"neutral" position in the conflict. This of course was before the US entry into the war. These tags are for both US and British operations. On this set there is an outside red tag and a US nomenclature description on the front panel.
