It looks like all the spare fuses are still there. The cord is stiff and will probably have to be replaced if you plan on testing this. Very good condition. Unknown if working. Very clean inside, as near as I can tell only missing the keyers that were stored in the lid. I was able to find plenty of Technical Manuals copied online. Looks like it was never used, the box is worn, torn, dirty, crushed, one of the small inner folding end tabs is missing- please see images. 3. Other Information: This is an original J-38 US Army Signal corps Key Telegraph. The base plate measures 3" x 4 3/4" and the box 3 1/4" x 1 3/4" x 6 1/4" The Signal Corps J-38 was a Morse Code training key. Included with various Army school systems during World War Two. The key was produced in huge numbers in the 1940s and later. Five were included in the AN/GGQ-1 code practice set; twenty-two J-38 keys ... morewere included with the World War Two EE-81 school system; and forty-four with the EE-95-F system. Army Signal Corps Bausch and Lomb World War II Field Glasses with Compass - Nice
These field glasses are one of my favorite pieces- my wife told me if I list these. Then I can bid on a WWII Japanese Officer's sword(and I am doing just that) Due to the leather wrap, we believe, based on research, that these were a standard issue to both the North Africa Army Corps and the European forces. The 6x30 magnification is awesome, the lenses are in perfect condition. The stap to the case is split and needs a rivet, but the field glasses themselves are wonderful. I have seen these sell for over $139.00- but due to the compass glass that needs to be replaced, I am putting these out there for a great starting price. Complete with the original box, manuals and inserts(most of the inserts have duplicates) Original purchase slip says that it was purchased from the Army in 1960. The unit appears unused. But the rubber of the cables has been dry rotted with time. The power cable looks to be in the worst shape. It has not been tested, so I do not know if it functions, sold as is. Manuals are in crisp. United States World War I Army Signal Corps Balloon Company Insignia Shoulder Patch. The dimensions are 3 1/4" in length and 2" in width(at the top) This patch is of a four piece multi-color machine embroidered cotton thread and olive green wool. It features a balloon in white with US in blue on it with a tri-colored red. White and blue aero circle below embroidered onto an olive green cool background. The reverse shows the stitching and the olive green wool backing. This patch is in excellent condition showing only slight signs of browning and no mothing.
