VINTAGE WWII US ARMY BLASTING CAP PLIERS WIRE CUTTERS SIGNAL CORPS TOOL ORIGINAL
Here we have a tool that you don't come across that often and that would be a pair[1] original US military Blasting Cap wire cutting pliers with the insulated handles.These were used by demolition teams as well as those in the ssignal corps. Pliers measure about 8 inch long overall. The only markings that I can see are the US mark on each side and the 5000 V on the one handle.Some loss to the tops of the handles, please see my photos, but rest is OK. Jaws are very good and steel is not pitted.Interesting WWII Tool that i know you will like.Starting auction off low with no reserve and only $5.80 postage anywhere in the USA

Up for Grabs Mint Vietnam Era United States Army Signal Corps Tie Tac Gold- plated and Enamel Identified to recently deceased Brigadier General Arthur Vande Poele. A member of the Fighting Blue Hens Battalion Hall of Fame. He Retired in Fenwick Island. Delaware. He graduated from the University of Delaware in 1954, and was commissioned a second lieutenant. He then served with the First Cavalry Division in Japan. Joining the Delaware Army National Guard in 1956, he served in various positions, rising to command the 198th Signal Battalion until 1975. At that time, he was promoted to colonel and held various training positions with the 261st Signal Command in Dover, Del. becoming chief of staff in 1980. It measures 1-1/2 inches high, 6 inches deep front to back(with the tapper facing you) and 3 inches wide. The key is marked J-38 and has some markings in a red box on the bottom. The size of this letter-booklet from 1951 is approximately 4" x 5.25" the color is yellow with an orange emblem. The emblem has printed in blue letters. Fort Monmouth Home of The Signal Corps, U. S. Army. The reverse side has soldiers marching carrying flags- the colors are shades of blue. There are 8 two-sided pages in the book, not counting the covers. The first page is blank with instructions"Use this space for your personal letter" The rest of the pages are informative, showing the reader what the Corpsman is learning. Some cartoon sketches are used in the descriptions. There's a place for First Class Postage- 3 cents. The flap sealed over the years, and after tearing it a bit, someone opened it with a letter opener. Fort Monmouth was a U.S communications facility for 94 years before its decommission. For sale is a vintage Military/ Ham Radio" SIGNAL CORPS CASE CS-137" This metal box once was used to hold crystals and equipment for military and ham radios- most likely from around the WWII era- it is now empty and ready for next use or a wonderful display item. About 11" long. 3" wide, and 4 1/4" tall. There are areas of paint/ surface loss and some rust spots. There is a dent/ ding on the bottom. Both latches and the handle are intact and function properly as do the hinges. This double layer case has felt type lining in both halves. The lower part has had holes drilled(the felt only) for possibly drill bit or other such storage. Up for consideration are TWO 1943 US ARMY SIGNAL CORPS PHOTOS OF ACTOR SABU DASTAGIR ON AN ELEPHANT. The 8" x 10" photos were taken as part of a recruitment campaign being held in Baltimore. Maryland. Based on the information I found stamped on to the back of a similar photo, I believe the elephant was known as, Minnie, photos were shot in Druid Hall Park, Baltimore, Maryland, on or about September 19, 1943. One of the photos. elephant has all 4 feet on stand) was removed from a photo album, as seen by the back of that photo. If you look carefully at the photo there are 2 spots on the right side where to adhesive started to bleed through( Upper right corner, just above the tree) Although it can't be seen in the picture, there's also a small crease at the lower left corner of the photo, on the white border. As for the other ... morephoto, it is without damage, showing little or no wear. With the exception of the above mentioned, I believe they are both in Good Plus to Very Good condition. Especially for photos that are 79 plus years old. They're being sold AS-IS, so look at the photos carefully, and please ask questions prior to bidding.
