Up for sale is an Original GT Mohawk 36h High-Flange CNC machined spiral scribes in the wall. Stainless spokes, red anodized nipples and Weinmann Zac21 polished rims. These are the original wheelset that came on a factory 1998 GT Speed Series Cruiser 24" These are a very rare find as a complete set(the rhythm system wheel set show up every so often but not these. Not to mention the original rhythm wheelset weigh a ton) and even comes with the original AA race compound tires(quite worn but still intact) Overall in good condition, spokes may need tightening, a couple may need to be straightened or replaced. Some fade of the red anodizing for the nipples. Bearings run freely but may need some cleaning and lubing and freewheel included may need cleaning and lubing as well or replacement. Although, these could be mounted and ridden on right ... morenow. Most Mohawk hubs that are up for sale aren't this sweet combination of 36h. Bearings are very smooth. Spokes: Tom Ritchey stainless, 2.0-1.7-2.0 double butted, brass nipples. Rims: 700c Mavic Module"E" ancestor to the MA2 series, double walled with eyelets, 36h. Used, but straight rims. Sidewalls have brake pad marks. One rim still has the label; the other label peeled off. Keep in mind these are 30-40 year old parts(except the spokes) I built these up several years ago but they've been on a"garage queen" and were used on a grand total of three rides. I will pack these in a wheel box with styrofoam peanuts.

There is a ding/flat spot on the rear rim. The spokes are rusty, and the side walls have wear from using the brakes. Other than that, they need new grease in the bearings, and some more cleaning. They are pretty true(except for the one dent) but I guess they could still use a little fine tuning.

This is a well used set of sun 0 degree rims on red Chris king hubs. The front hub is In Good working order. Little faded from the sun I'm guessing. The rim has nicks and marks from rocks but is still usable. The rear rim has cracks and needs to be replaced. The rear hub also needs to be rebuilt as it slips when you first start pedaling. It doesn't slip once your going. My local bike shop said parts would run $80-$90 but I did not confirm this. American Classic 350 wheel set... With new rims
This set of wheels started out as a set of American Classic 350s. I used them for several years. The rim on the rear wheel developed a'hop' that I couldn't correct so I decided to rebuild them. I purchased the rims form FairWheel Bike in Tucson. They were Kinlin brand and came highly recommended. I weighed them when they arrived. One was 380g the other was 385. The spokes are DT Swiss Revolution will alloy nipples. There is a picture of my scale with both wheels on it. 1327 grams. My scale is typically off by about 15 grams so figure 1341 grams. Of course that includes rim tape. They are in great shape nearly perfectly true. The hubs have no play and spin buttery smooth.

The Velocity Deep V rims are laced to Dura Ace FH 7850 hubs with Dura Ace Skewers. 32 traditional(round) red spokes on both the front and rear wheels. Both spoke patterns are three across for strength and stiffness. The wheels have less than 250 miles on them. The brake surfaces come from the factory with black anodizing. As the brakes are used. The black comes off the brake surface exposing the standard siver alloy below. These wheels have so few miles on them that only the rear has the functional brake surface showing.
