NOTE. What you are buying: I bought these items at an estate sale. I have no way of checking them for function and can just describe them as I see them. I have not removed any covers or cases to see what is in the inside or what the inside looks like. I have not cleaned on them except to brush off a data plate to make it readable. They are offered as I found them. I have pointed out the problems that I can see, but that may not be all that is wrong with them. I have taken a lot of good photos for you to view for evaluating what you will be bidding on. Please buy these as'donors' to be used for parts that you may need and knowing that they probably do not work. Thanks. This auction is for a Fairbanks& Morse RV4 magneto. My research found that this mag was used on some Allis Chalmers and Massey Harris tractors in the late 1920's ... moreto mid 1930's. I do not know what else it may fit. I have rotated this mag CW by hand and got a short yellow spark from all 4 distributor ports. The previous owner had written on it: very good" The only thing I see wrong externally with this mag is the chipping and breaking of the distributor ports as shown in the photos. The size of this mag is about 8" long X 7" high X 4 1/2" wide including the distributor piece. Look the photos over good so you will know what you are buying and again. Vintage Tractor Case Allis Chalmers Farmall Gas 15 Gal Fuel Tank w Sediment Bowl
This is a vintage fuel tank. Restored. This tank has been in a barn here in Oregon for an unknown amount of years. The previous owner is almost 100 years old and unfortunately has dementia. For that reason I do not know the history of the tank, what it came off of, or it's name. I just call it"ole Henry" I know it is vintage. I will describe what I can see. It measures 22 inches long and is 14 in diameter. I did a volume calculation and came up with 14.6666666666666666 gallons. Give or take a"6" Because I could be off a bit in my measurements I believe it could be a 15 gallon tank. I did deduct the half inch or so overhanging rim lip on each end. Or a 15.834723 gallon tank. It is ABOUT 15 gallons. I will just leave it at that. It has a brass sediment bowl underneath it. Marked"Sediment" 17215 DA" OUT" ... moreI have never used the tank, therefore I have not tested the shut off valve on the sediment bowl. The tank has mounting brackets with it. It is a simple bracket system held on with hoops and is fairly heavy duty. I installed thick rubber pads where the braket meets the tank(see pic) I will show it with and without the brackets. For shipping. The brackets will be removed. It has the original fuel tank cap which reads"BUY CLEAN FUEL- KEEP IT CLEAN" A man and his dog told me he thought the tank might have been for an old combine. But he could have said it was off of anything. The dog probably knew more than he did. I have seen similar tanks on Allis Chalmers tractors. But. Without seeing this tank mounted on anything, I have no idea what it was used for. I included a few tractor names in the title as a shot in the dark. if you know what this tank is off of, I would very much like you to tell me, via message, please. BUT! Who cares what it was off of? I am wondering what it going to be ON. A rat rod. Another farm tractor, dozer, pony tank, boat? A auxiliary tank for a home generator? Oil furnace. moonshine still. I am getting creative here.
