Next bike I am selling showing the Mongoose Emblem They were used hard during extreme tricks, and show no stress, or cracks. They are very strong, and sturdy. They were on a standard axle with a 9/16 sized bolt. Approximately 1" inch in diameter, and about 4' inches long. I have not seen this style as often anymore, and the riders seem to prefer them over the thin style. They are very solid, and weigh almost a pound each. Jamis Dragon steel hardtail mountain bike frame- for 26" wheels. 17" size Reynolds 853 tubing- the frame is pretty light for steel. Disc and v-brake mounts Fox F80 RL- 80mm travel. Adjustable rebound damping, lockout, Enduro fork seals, and removeable v-brake posts. Works just fine, but it's probably time for an oil change. Chris King headset Chainstay and fork clearance for 2.35" big-boy downhill tires. If you are into that sort of thing. I am also including the super sweet Chris King steerer tube cap. And a front disc brake mount for 160mm rotors. This frame has an amazing ride. It has that lively steel feel and is very nimble and flickable. I am only selling because it was too small for me- I replaced it with a larger Jamis ... moreDragon(still 26" wheels of course! The frame and fork show normal signs of use: cable rub. Some tire rub on the chain& seat stays from flats, paint scratches, chain slap paint chipping on driveside chainstay. There are no dings or dents in the steel, only paint damage. I included pictures of the worst spots, the cable rub on the head tube, and chain slap chipping. The derailleur hanger is straight! I drilled out the the two rear derailleur cable stops on the driveside seatstay to 5mm. So derailluer housing can pass all the way through. This requires you to run continuous housing from the rear cable stop on the top tube to the derailleur. This is a great improvement as the housing is much less susceptible to dirt, mud, and water contamination, and your shifting stays crisp and precise for much longer. They have short, plated, brass nipples. The spoke heads are plain, and of a larger than usual diameter. They do not have R's on them, or flowers, or anything else. 40 Vintage Raleigh Stainless Steel Spokes from 26" Wheel. 292mm, 11 3/8"
Here we have 40 genuine Raleigh stainless steel spokes removed from a rusty 1940's 3 speed wheel. The spokes are 11 3/8" in length. The wheel was a 26 x 1 1/4" ISO 597mm) steel wheel. Endrick Rim, with an AW Sturmey Archer hub. Possibly off a Raleigh Sports, or Lenton Sports. Each spoke has a capital letter R on its head. The nipples are the usual brass items; 3 or them were rounded off in dismantling and will need to be replaced. The spokes are non- magnetic. But some of them show a little corrosion here and there. I was able to polish most of this off. Please note the wheel was spoked'4 cross' I expect if you use a'3 cross' pattern. It should be possible to use them in a 26 x 1 3/8" wheel. Vintage Crome Bianchi 1" road fork Columbus Steel 700c wheel. Renyolds
Foderi Forcella Special Columbus Bianchi Fork Classic Racing Bianchi fork from the Mid 80's. The fork is straight as an arrow as shown in photograph. Crome is chipping slightly under the non-drive side and the columbus stickers are a little beat up. These issues really aren't that noticeable when installed but should be noted. Fork has the classic embossed bianchi bird and name at the crown. Bianchi dropouts. Perfectly functional as is but could be chromed for your restoration project. Threaded 1" fork 700c wheel 205 mm steer tube. Fits headsets with: 26.4 crown race and 24 TPI threading. FYI I chased the threads to ensure a"like new" installation.
