He is in very good- excellent vintage condition. Have a couple of very small paint chips. Might not be orignal paint, but looks great. The bottom seam has a small lip on it, like 1/16 of an inch. There are no markings or numbers on this item. He has one Phillips screw in his rear rib cage area. This door stop is over 30 years old or older. I got it from my parents 20 years ago. This is a great Vintage 1940's/ 1950's Scotty Dog Keychain Puzzle. This is the older larger one. And made of plastic. It actually has some marbleized color on its left front foot. Dial Indicator Holder Dog Leg 3 Pivot Points
This is a dial indicator dog leg holder meant to be used with an Interapid or similar dial test indicator. This holder is made to hold an indicator with a 1/8 inch shaft and does not use a dovetail only a 1/8 inch hole and an adjustable screw to hold the indicator in place. It is nicer than many of the other dog legs as it can bend in 3 points instead of just 2 and is longer than other holders as well. This would be a great item for use with a Bridgeport mill or boring mill and is very useful for any machinist or possibly even mechanic.

Really nice legs! All Brass. As you can see they were taped together when I got them. Unfortunately they don't have the 3rd foot to make them stand. But that can be a pretty generic piece. This very old form of a dog or wolf was at one time covered in white fur, some still remains in spots. The body is some sort of hard cement type material, almost looks like lava rock? It has wooden stick legs which have been wrapped in muslin/linen. Then it was wrapped in white fur, the suede part of the backing is still present but badly moth eaten. The ears are also missing. Real glass eyes and a red felt tongue. The tail is covered wire. This restoration project is for someone with more skill than me. I hope someone can rescue this one of a kind item and bring it back to life. It came with other very old German Christmas items so I believe that is the country of origin and maybe pre 1900's.
